The MOST Boring Intro Post

What up my guys! Long time lurker who never did an intro post. I’m a 39 year old male from NJ. 5’6 180lbs. Married to a beauty (2nd marriage) and work in the IT field. Been lifting since high school but always held back by my love for food . Sweets are absolutely my Achilles heel!

I’ve used PEDs off and on since college. Currently on TRT - Test Cyp 100mg / week. I usually run 20mg Anavar daily for 8 or 9 months out of the year. I’m also currently on 3.5mg Tirzepitide weekly. I get yearly bloodwork and keep everything decent. I dabbled with HGH but it caused significant enough blood sugar issues that I just don’t think it’s for me.

Like I said I’ve been lurking for a while and love the community here. Buncha ball busters yas are! I love it. Looking forward to more lurking lol and possibly some bloodwork feedback utilizing the sponsors. I’d consider maybe shipping stuff out to labs for testing too but I’ll need to research that a bit more.

That’s it for now. ✌

Oh and probably worth mentioning that I’m pretty sure I have a SLAP tear in my left shoulder. SUPER frustrating. I get an MRI this Monday. It happened about a month ago. I did shoulders and traps that day. Did go heavy on shrugs but nothing crazy or out of norm otherwise. Was in bed and reached over to the night stand and felt that pop. Really sucks but gotta roll with the punches. I’ve been going to PT for the past 2 weeks and have been taking BPC157 and TB500 in hopes it helps. So yeah fml right now.

I've also been diagnosed with a slap tear in my left shoulder, according to an arthrogram and mri. Dr. told me my lifting days were over. That was almost 10 years ago. I do have some wicked tendinitis there that I would do anything to get rid of- but other than that, it's mostly asymptomatic. Hopefully you got good news from your mri.

Thanks man. Just had the MRI with arthrogram Monday. I have the followup doc appt this coming Monday.

Does the tendonitis only hit with certain movements or how does it pop up to noticeably there?

Pressing. I've had to get creative with how I train chest. Fortunately that led me to some things that really help. I treat flareups with voltaren gel. Just started bcp and tb4, no results with that yet though.

Coincidentally I’ve been having some kind of tendinitis or something with my left thumb. In the mornings it feels sore kind of around the base and feels like it slips out of the socket sort of if I move my thumb wide enough. A few days on BPC157 and TB500 and the pain and issue drastically was cut down. I firmly believe it’s helped that. I bought 10mg of each and combined in a vial. I take 750mcg (of each) daily.

Depending on the severity of the tear and how you tolerate the symptoms sometimes you can avoid a surgery. I’ve had labrum issues/surgeries on both shoulders. One is absolutely fine and one has been an ongoing issue.
Not sure where in NJ you are, but I found a good Dr. with Rothman that just did some work on me. If surgery is recommended make sure you have the right surgeon.

Oh and meant to ask why you didn’t opt for surgery.
according to the mri I have a full circumferential tear. I've had several mri's across the years that all say the same thing. Each doctor has said "its a mess in there, I don't think I can fix it". Last dr told me I need a shoulder replacement but I'm not eligible yet because they only last so many years and can only be done once.....

It's interesting to see how a clinical diagnosis like needing a shoulder replacement can be given, while at the same time being mostly without symptoms and able to perform at a high level physically.

I started training aerial straps a year ago. Youtube that shit and see if it looks like something someone who needs a shoulder replacement could be doing.

Not to bring up an old post but I had a total shoulder replacement in 2020 at 34 or 35. I asked about longevity and doc said that the older procedures generally last 10 years but that data was based on “older” techniques and data. He said the new materials likely last longer but that data won’t be available for a few years. He also said that you can do a number of revisions and the idea that you can only do it once was also outdated. Not sure where you are located but the ortho team at WashU in St. Louis was pretty great (I traveled there from where I live since the ortho people here were less than confident in their abilities).

awesome thank you for sharing that

How have you been doing with your replacement?

It’s been life changing to be honest. I could barely raise my arm to put on deodorant before it and now I have full range of motion. My doc won’t let me chop wood but that’s cool. He gave me the green light for just about everything else.

It’s much more stable than my other shoulder but I will need a replacement on that shoulder at some point. The only regret I have is not taking PT seriously and I’m making up for it now. My shoulders are my weak point and im working on building them since my lifts are lagging due to that.

I'm glad to hear that it's going well. Not chopping wood is a tough one. I have a firewood fetish

What condition did you have that led to the replacement?

I’m originally from Florida so had no need for firewood. It could be useful where I live now but I have a gas fireplace.

I have osteoarthritis in most of my joints. My shoulder sockets was fucked up a bit in utero. When I was developing, they rotated towards my back 30 or 40 degrees and made them extremely unstable.

Maybe physical therapy wouldn't have been an effective solution anyways. Don't feel down for not participating in it more.

Sounds like you had a mechanical problem that needed a mechanical repair.

I meant the PT after the replacement. I did it about 90% and then stopped going to the gym. If I kept at it, I would be even better off.
