Audioslave was definitely solid

What do you think about Chris Cornell's new stuff? I hear it on the radio a lot and it's okay, but doesn't hold a candle to his old stuff in my opinion. Music just had a certain sound back then and even the bands from that time just don't capture it anymore with their new stuff.

He still has that awesomely distinctive voice but the sound just isn't the same. I thought the temple of the dog combo was great.

Yeah, him and Eddie Vedder were great. Definitely he's still got the voice, the music and the sound just seems uninspired somehow. Not terrible by any means, he just set the bar pretty high back in the day.
