Now we are removing all the civil war Confederate memorials all over the South. Many many men both white and black fought in this war and like it or not. It happened kids and it is a huge part of the history of this nation. Now the blacks want any and all reminders of our history removed because it is "offensive" to them. Well I believe in fair play so I want all black monuments also removed such as the Harriet Tubman underground railroad which was used to transport slaves...all MLK signs and streets to be renamed...Malcolm X was a militant black so down with all his shit too! See my point here? You cannot erase history like it or not it happened and trying to sanitize our great nation is fucking obsurd!!!!

The average southerner didn't own a slave . It was rich plantation owners. What's next? Destroying union monuments? Although, I maintain that measured on a scale against his period peers, REL was vastly superior.

And if statues of REL goes down, those of Sheridan, Sherman, Grant, and Lincoln and others should come down before he's taken down.

All of the above is madness of course, we need to be reminded of the war crimes of Sheridan and Sherman, not hide them.
