Posted while back have 2 small tears in my shoulder. One of them is rotator cuff tendon and other is biceps tendon.

Well PT been goin good, 60% better according to therapist. For most part feeling good. PT has been keeping me below 25lbs on anything overhead though, I dont agree with it, but is what it is.

How'd I fuck up? Well...I have been working harder now than I have in awhile. Still protecting the shoulder best I can, but stamina wise pushing myself. Yesterday pushed myself more than I should have. I was beat! Came home, took care of few things and sat at the pc for a few minutes. Never happened before, but I fell asleep at the pc. I believe only for 5-6 minutes, could have been more though. I woke up half startled that I fell asleep...what made it worse my ass cheek and left leg fell asleep due to how I fell asleep in the chair. I stood up quick not realizing my leg was asleep and the leg gave way. I fell to my left(the bad shoulder side) and I put my left arm out to catch myself.

Grabbed the cabinet handle that sits behind my pc desk and the weight from me falling broke the handle off and I landed on my left elbow....felt like the weight of my whole body jammed up into my left shoulder. FUCK ME it hurt!!

I iced it and took 800mg ibuprofen. Woke up this morning and it still hurt like a bitch. Took more ibuprofen this morning and went to work. Made it through work ok, but its still bothering me.

Praying I didnt fuck it up worse, but more pissed off than anything. I feel fuckin dumb as hell for falling over or even trying to stand up when my leg fell asleep. Hell I feel like a fuckin idiot for falling asleep at my pc!

Me and PT just had a long talk last week and everything was looking good that I wont need surgery. Now I have no clue. Feels worse than when it first happened. Again, FUCK ME!

More I think about it more pissed off I get! Hoping for the best.

Ever do anything so fuckin stupid before like this????

Have you thought about tb500 and bpc157, to go alongside your PT, I've heard amazing things a out it, and will be using it on my achilles tendonitis shortly

Damn that is nuts dude. I'm sorry to hear it.

I am building a new chicken coop and last Friday a 2x6x8 I was trying to drill in vertically to the coop for the run corner, well my drill bit was too small, so I let it sit there and it seemed stable. I kneel over to get a bigger bit and hear a scraping noise and the next thing I know it feels like I am being hit in the head with a baseball bat. The fucking ~26 pound 2x6x8 slowly fell over, gaining speed as the top neared the ground, until it whacked me in the fucking dome about a foot from the end of the board, so basocally max speed and weight... It cut the skin through my hat, even. I still have a headache and have been concussion all weekend.

Been taking NAC and Berberine to help fight oxidative stress and recover from the concussion, but fucking A this shit sucks. Also BPC-157 intranasally.

Dude, I couldn’t help but laugh and cringe while reading this, I genuinely hope you’re ok. I laugh because I’ve had shit like that happen to me as well, and I cringe knowing how fucking bad it sucks.

Falls in which you put your arm out above your head to catch yourself are number one for rotator cuff injuries. It puts the shoulder in the most vulnerable position.

It's one of the reasons you're actually better just taking the hard slam to the shoulder and risking a break to the collarbone than putting your arm out with full force coming down.

I've seen this injury many times in older patients, slips and falls. I've experienced this injury myself when I flipped over my bike to a dead stop when I hit a 2 foot deep pothole at night going about 25mph. My shoulder was fucked for 9 months and even to this day(4 years later) I can't incline or shoulder press anything over my head with real weight as it becomes weak and the next day the sharp stabbing pain starts in. I'm strong with flat bench, decline, and just about every other pull movement, but shoulder presses, incline can't be done anymore.

Obviously your PT can test you for rotator cuff injury, the standard tests that will either hurt like hell or you won't be able to do them at all.

The thing is since you're a body builder, you probably have more muscle surrounding the shoulder it's not a one and done injury.

The muscles surrounding the shoulder will compensate to make up for lost stability.

Obviously if you can't laterally raise your arm above your head that's a sign you gotta problem and you're gonna need to rest the arm for perhaps several months.

Surgery isn't always the best course and it's major ordeal if you ask me having to wear the sling. My next door neighbor died after she had hers done from a blood clot. She had to sleep in her recliner due to the pain after surgery and that is where they found her dead 3 days after surgery.

I'm not a big fan of surgery, I personally avoid them because the body will heal or you'll learn to compensate. This has kept me from having several surgeries that were scheduled, but I backed out because I thought I could rehab myself and I was right.

Obviously if the tendon has completely torn off the bone and is in the process of retracting you have no choice other than surgery, but hopefully that hasn't happened. Either way I'm still not a big fan of this surgery as it seems no matter what even after it's repaired you see guys end up getting several touch up repairs to the shoulder as the sutures loosen and there is poor healing and adhesion of the tendon, even possibly thinning of the tendon due to age and repeated wear from loaded overhead movements.

I got PT tomorrow, called doc today. he said proceed with PT but if anything hurts even a small amount to stop short. Afterwards I am scheduled for another MRI to make sure I didnt fuck it up worse. Fingers crossed!

Lmao I'm glad I could give folks a laugh. Honestly my head just hurt like a bitch. I've had concussions before, this one is not the worst to be honest, but it's close. For the next day I kept hearing the hollow "donk" sound of the fucking board hitting my head. Thankfully this morning I have no headache. Really glad not to have to take any advil. Long term NSAID use is no good!!

I’m laughing with you, not at you, I’ve had a ton of concussions and it sucks.

Health to you my friend. But I always like that you look at everything positively and with humor. This always makes people happy.
