Thoughts?

What do you guys think about doing pushups, dips, and pullups on non training days? Beneficial? Harmful? Im not talking about 500 reps but just enough to get a good pump.
 
show me your routine...anyway, if pullups are easy enough for you to consider doing them on off day, you should probably use additional weight... pushups are totally worthless imo
 
Not my routine. Just a thought provoking conversation to get people discussing new thoughts or ideas. I believe rest is very important and my non training days are that. But if in a three day split for a blue collar working class stiff like me it may be a time efficent way to get more work in. I still work out 5 days a week with work but some guys dont have the luxury of time.
 
Yes I agree, for most people pull ups aren't easy enough to just do to get some blood flowing. But I love doing a few push ups when I'm sore from a good chest workout. Seems like I'm not nearly as sore after doing a couple sets of push ups or bodyweight squats/box jumps
