Tile's Gym Slut Journal

We'll I grow as well so I've be. Balls deep in this for a decade shhyt smoking for 16 years straight . I'm sitting in my shop smoking a bowl right now ...

I'm probably going to stir the hornet's nest here, and I don't mean to detract from Tile's log, but I'd love to see real scientific studies of milk since this has always been a huge interest to me. And not any bodybuilding/strength articles, but actual studies done by well established researchers and/or institutes, not fly by night labs that could easily be biased on dairy/non-dairy side. Don't forget, there is a LOT of money to be made on dairy replacement products (soy/almond milk, etc). A lot of people seem to forget that fact.

I have yet to see any research that didn't look suspiciously biased on the topic (I'm looking at you whey protein endorsed, and soy funded research grants), but I'd love to be proved wrong. As well as the "whole grains" theory considering it sounds like that theory is based off of people who lived 100s, if not 1000s of years ago, and resides more around logical conclusions than actual scientific proof considering it's pretty hard to realistically tell how healthy someone was 1000s of years ago from a corpse.

You can start with the Milk Documentary. Although biased, it does limit itself to the facts and supports them with links and studies for you to reference.

Have you any idea how large and powerful the dairy industry is in America? Its enormous and very wealthy. ALL dairy industries in the USA answer to Dairy Management Inc. DMI has politicians in their pockets and highly paid lobbyists to ensure the survival of milk based products. There is nothing they will not do to protect these interests - think billion dollar industry. Its like trying to convince people that a certain widely accepted medicine is unhealthy. The giant pharm companies would rather have you shot than bend over. Dont kid yourself.

This is direct from Wiki - DMI operates under all the big dairy names in the USA.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dairy_Management_Inc.

Dairy Management Inc. is an American organization funded by checkoff fees dedicated to promoting the sale of American-made dairy products. It also operates under the names http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Innovation_Center_for_U.S._Dairy&action=edit&redlink=1,[1] American Dairy Association, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=National_Dairy_Council&action=edit&redlink=1 and http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=U.S._Dairy_Export_Council&action=edit&redlink=1.

Dairy Management was incorporated in 1995 as a nonprofit corporation by members of the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board and the http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=United_Dairy_Industry_Association&action=edit&redlink=1.[2] It is funded by a checkoff program administered by the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board.[2][3] The corporation has 162 employees and a budget of about $140 million mostly funded by fees charged to dairy producers and funded by federal tax dollars via the U.S. Department of Agriculture for promoting U.S. dairy to overseas markets.[4] It is headed by longtime chief executive Thomas P. Gallagher.

Dairy Management is associated with the "Got Milk?"[5] and "Real Seal"[6] campaigns and works with industry to develop products that increase consumption of milk and cheese. It also funds research into the benefits of dairy consumption. Dairy Management has successfully promoted increased use of cheese in prepared food products such as pizza. This initiative has been criticized by Dr. Walter C. Willett, chairman of the nutrition department at the Harvard School of Public Health and a former member of the federal government’s nutrition advisory committee, as being contradictory to the nutrition goal of reducing consumption of saturated fat also promoted by the United States government.[7]

I never said that the dairy industry wasn't huge and powerful. Nor did I say that they were great people, and had the best interest of their consumers in mind. What I said is that there is pretty much no actual scientific research done by anyone that wasn't funded by one side or the other. You're throwing the DMI around like it's some awful organization just because it's associated with dairy.

Now, I'm not saying that DMI isn't awful. They very well could be, but that's not my point. My point is that it's easy to say things like "product x is terrible for you because of point a, b, and c". I could easily say that eating modern meat sources is terrible for you due to GMOs and unhealthy regulations of the livestock, and that you will make 0 gains as well as give you an increased risk of heart attack, stroke, and reduced testosterone levels. I could probably make logical arguments for two out of three of those ridiculous statements, too. Sounds silly though, right? These sort of arguments need to stop for the sake of people just experimenting themselves, and finding what works for them, or at the very least they should have a solid scientific foundation backing the claims. Not just a documentary that sources a few industry backed research papers and a handful of examples in a population of literally several billion. That my friend, would get you a ousted by the research community at large in the real world, or at the very least, your statistics in your research would probably be considers outliers, at best.

Anyway, not going to derail Tile's log anymore unless you're interested in this sort of thing, Tile. More than happy to continue this in PM's though if you want, NN. :)

It's all good I find the conversation educating . It's certainly provided me with enough to at least me more suspicious of certain foods .
I'm gunna waste as in chug the 3 gallons of 2% I hve left and debate switching back over to almond - next weekend I'll be out of town for 3 nights and ima lay off milk those days and see if my stomach is more appreciative of that

Layoff the milk .....I sneak a glass EOD just because I love it but it has wreaked havoc on my body back when I got into my mid 30"s. I do believe there is something to milk is for babies and women. Buy Organic milk it is worth it. As far as dairy reducing test levels I dont care I am not natty. Something changes in men as we get older and we do not tolerate dairy the same....I love milk and cheese but have given up....well at least 80% or so.

So the gym was fairly empty this am . There was a 40 y/ o lady on the elptical when I showed up and I was warming up on the Mats accross from the cardio bay ... She kept sparking up convo with me and asked me to come over .. I walked over and she was clearly drunk as hell from her slurred speech and vodka pouring out every orfice as she worked on a elliptical .she kept touching my arm and telling me how hot I was . Lmao . It was fairly embarrassing . Although testosterone will make you think some fucked up things about girls that aren't on your level . Tempting but nah. She continued to bagger me even once I walked away . At one point she walked by me on the other side of the gym and went to slap my ass and missed ... She got all balls . All I could do was smile .. And laugh . Later after a few slips and falls while attempting lunges she was kicked out by the gym manager after a trainer was blown away by her vodka breath I presume .
Funny shit never seen that before . I mean this chick wouldn't fucked just about anyone in the maintenance room had someone been so inclined . Or maybe my hormones are giving of there own scent lmao

Woke up at 195 and that after a midnight and 6 am shit . Normally around 191-193 am weight. I'm 197 post workout shake and stacked ham sando . Gunna hit lunch in 30 . I can see I may be able to hit 205 on this cycle but it won't be with lack of food . Ima have to keep this pace up of jaw shattering stomach jerking constant feeding fucking meals

Killed them legs .. Don't remember if I said anything about it in this log but my left knee is fucked so I can't squat past 90 . Been leaving my barbell squats alone for about a month .. Knee feels better . So I go heavy on the leg press and superset with db step ups and burn out with a seated leg press . By the end irregardless of squats giving me the better pump- I still have a insane quad pump. Veins like a competitor
