Did anybody else watch Ninja movies when they were kids? Because I loved Kung Fu Theatre and all that 1980's ninja shit. I made all my own ninja weapons, throwing stars, grappling hooks, etc in my Dad's shed out back. Used to climb ober walls and sneak through neighbors yards... kids cant do that shit anymore, they'd get shot
Sho Kosugi was a 80s action ninja guy. Those movies were awesome and of course the motherfucking GOAT Bruce Lee. Fuckin love that guy.

Sho was badass, me and his son used to buy weed off the same dude in Pasadena... I used to see Bolo Yeung at the gym a lot in Alhambra (Alhambra is like Beverly Hills for Chinese)
That’s pretty cool. Tony Jai is pretty badass too. Crazy ass kickboxer

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is where it’s at though.

Acquaintance of mine got to train with the G family back in the day. Shit is real.
BJJ is fun and there are lots of moves that work, and lots that dont in real life lol. Example: if you're ever get in trouble with some ex Army special forces guy, guard your eyes, ears, and balls (assuming you have balls). They will blind you 9x out of 10 and then do whatever they want with you. No rules in real life, and no time to roll around on the ground. Lightning fast jab to the eyes/mouth always wins in real life

I always liked the way Jason Bourne handled people in the first movie. Lots of Wing Chun base, and lots of cool shit that Im not sure would work or not lol.... but I like it

Does The ninja turtles count?

Not really for a street fight, great to know as most fighting styles have something for you to take and use. Street fights are straight brawls where people just punch. Thai boxing, punches, elbows, clinch and knees. Devastating kicks if you are capable of them(I am not).
I have a brutal straight right and a right elbow that can slice you open quick(that’s what elbows are for cutting)
I’d take the Chokes(standing guillotine) and the like from Ju Jitsu and stay away from getting put on the ground in a street fight. Getting put on the ground is a great way to end up with a knife in you or bullets without even realizing it. Stay on your feet throw some punches(or elbows) and get distance to draw your weapon.

PS. If you don’t carry a gun you are dumb as fuck;)

You guys know special forces aren’t trained that well in hand to hand ? No military force really is. The guys that actually know wtf their doing take classes on their own.
The Military has come a longggggg way in its hand to hand programs but it’s really not taught to the masses in any substantial way.
SF dudes aren’t these mythical people that can kill you with just a look. Least I never learned that in my 4 years as an “operator”. Would have come in real handy.
