Good for him, becaus MA is a joke of a state now. I got out as fast as i could once I moved back up this way. Masshole at heart but I like my guns and my money in my own pocket.
I moved when I was 17 down to Florida. Lived in RI for a while in high school too. Shit, I swear I got in like 20 fistfights a year living in Southie. Those Irish are mean!(I'm part)

You skipped the over the worst offenders though, Massholes!
Taxes and insurance were getting too much for me that's why I left CT. Sold my home and skedaddled. Got a new job up here pretty quickly as well as a systems administrator at a small local hospital.

Massholes, tell me about it...I had my share of them lol.

I have a friend that lives in Londonderry I think?

I lived in RI for 12 years and it was not too bad then. Now even RI is turning to crap as well.

Same here I am part Irish as well (and part Italian!)

I live a ways from there. Nice area too.

I remember going to visit my older half sister in Haverhill, ma which is right on the border. That town was what Trump would call a "shithole"!
Lol I know what you meant as I gone to Haverhill for a party at one of my brother's friends place there recently. My youngest brother now lives in Keene which is quite nice as well.

I left Massachusetts when I was 17, fuck that dump right in its ass. I will never go back unless it’s part of a liberation army. I grew up in the poorest part of the South Shore, work boots, concert T shirts and ripped jeans were the rich kids.

Is the South shore like Quincy area or farther south? I'm actually from the North shore originally, Cape Ann. How about those painted Jean jackets? With the rock bands on them?

Job market here is not too bad, and I got my current job fairly quickly as landed it just before I moved from CT so that I have had no downtime.

Taxes are lower yes and also my car insurance dropped from $340 to $95 per month (and that is on a new Toyota Corolla). No income tax meant more money in my pocket as well.

$340 a month! For one car? Holy shit. I have 4 vehicles, 4 drivers, 1 19yo, 1 25yo with sr22 insurance(dont ask) and I pay $540 mo. Just my wife and I was like $150 though. All full coverage.

Now I am trying to convince my other brother to move to NH. As he owns an HVAC company in CT it's a harder sell for him though.

Yes as I lived near New Haven County which carried a much higher insurance rate. No claims ever made either. And this was thru GEICO. I was told my rate would have been $625 had I not had my policy for 8 years prior. It is all BS down in CT and glad I finally moved out of there.
