You said clip. Ha.

Can't believe it hasn't been said yet. In a gun fight, that is combat, shot placement is highly effective. Caliber is as well...although less than good groups in appropriate places imo.

But what about round count? Its fucking combat. You will be scared. You will shake. You are not standing still. Therefore, you will miss. Give me 16 rounds over 8 any day.

Study below did not include spec ops and highly trained types like that

Correct. The one 20 year study i read on personal defense and police shootings indicated that one hits their intended target(ie center mass but hitting arm) 11% of the time.

His recommendation. Carry the gun and caliber you shoot best because the caliber does not matter in handguns. CARRY more ammo than you think youll need because you will be missing

There was that recent shootout between 2 cops and 1 bg. If i recall 62 rounds fired and only 1 hit between the 3 of them lol

Exactly my point. My purpose is to flee, not hero up and be the action movie star. My carry gun gets me from a bad spot to safety, hopefully. As such, firing while in retreat is awkward. Hence my desire for capacity over caliber. Spare mags never hurt either, depending on what i am wearing.

I’m all about over penetration.

My issue is, I’ve personally seen in real life, someone getting shot with 9mm and not going down.

I’ll never carry one. My nightstand gun is a 9mm tho
Hornady critical defense ammo is a beast. Like throwing nickeles at you flat side out at 1300 feet per second lol

Nothing against any of that arguments, but I agree and disagree.

Shot placement is king. 100% agrees . But a 45 or 10mm is going to do more damage, and have more knockdown than a 380 or a 9mm

When I have to shoot someone , it’s because they are an immediate threat. And when they are an immediate threat, I want it neutralized as fast as possible. If that means 2 .45s vs 3 9mms, then so be it
Center mass with good ammo should do the job from .22 and up. Don’t remember the exact percentage but over 95 I think of shooting happen with in 10ft. Average number of shots a civilian takes in self protection is 3.

In a certain scenario I believe you are correct about caliber. But the window and circumstances in which everything has to be perfect is very small and almost non existent.

Awesome gun i love mine
Haha man I remember when I first took it apart the takedown lever moved back to 4'oclock position and I couldn't figure out wtf happened. Then finally figured out you have to push UP on the slide release and rotate it back to 6'oclock... I was tripping when it wouldn't slide back

Subscribed to PoliceActivity on YouTube it’s the crazy’s channel I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure how it’s not censored.

I love this channel. It’s so crazy to see the real life, police shootings. There is a very good, very educational, and graphic shooting in Tulsa Ok. at a gas station. If anyone watches Live PD, they know Sean “Stick” Larkin. It was his Dept that responded. It’s easy to be Monday morning QB and critique what went down, but damn I see some fucking stupid decisions of these LEO’s. Never know what you are going to do or say until you are in that situation. But damn.

I’ve seen a few Officers freak the fuck out and lose control. Hyperventilating and turn into little bitches after they shoot someone. A lot of these Officers lived sheltered lives so they just don’t know how to “get down” like some of us. Really.

I have no desire to watch humans attempt to destroy one another.

It’s not about humans trying to destroy one another. It’s about Police doing what they need to do to survive. To get the scum off the street. Protect innocent victims and go home to their families at the end of the day. If anyone thinks they know what they’re going to do in a gun fight without watching gun fights, they are gonna be sadly mistaken. Just like street fighting. Ever watch those videos? I don’t watch them cause I enjoy violence, I watch them to be a better fighter. Just like I watch Food network. To learn how to be a better chef.
