Lmao I used Dr Kramer in Newport Beach he did my left labrum twice, when I was 18. Shoulders just as strong and mobile as my other. Atrophy sucked but w/ in a few months I was able to do push ups and pull ups again after 2nd surgery in a row. Only reason I asked was to say make sure you get someone who specializes in shoulders.
Wait so there's no realistic way I'll be ready for April and baseball season??? You said a few months lol. I was hoping to be good by April, may the latest. But no I'm not at someone who specializes in shoulders specifically due to my insurance.. just an Ortho .. but the best ortho in my area that takes my insurance

That’s how I tore mine at 17...

Bench went from ~255/265 to 335 w in a year made my shoulders way too tight.
Dude I wasn't even within 75 pounds of my maximum. Probably 100 lbs lighter. I was doing 3RM weight and I planned on 6 sets but felt good and pushed it to 10 sets.. in my 10th set I felt the click,
But they said the calcium deposit must have been building for a while

Hmm... That how I tore my labrum???

This is a good possibility.

Many injuries occur with steroids due to the fast and sudden strength gains. Tendons, ligaments etc do not strengthen as fast or grow like muscle can. So people will say man this week I went from 200-280 bench press .... or whatever lift and are impressed with their strength gains...

Then 3-4 weeks later they say “ injured myself”

Chances are you won’t be ready tbh. Depends on the severity of the tear, but if it’s anything greater than minimal, you won’t be ready. Don’t be donkey and rush it, it’ll re injure it tryna push the comeback way too soon. 2-3 months was a very rapid recovery time and the doc was pleased w how fast mine healed, they’re usually 4-8 months recoveries depending on how bad it is.

Mine didn’t actually occur while lifting, that was what tightened my shoulders up and probably started the micro tears... I ripped through a tailbacks legs at weird angle and that was what tore my labrum, then proceeded to play the rest of the season w it torn, tearing it more and more each game..
