My boys are 15 and 18 both in HS and shoes must mean everything. I use to hate spending $200 on a pair of shoes! But after I seen how they take care of them it seemed not to bother me as bad lol. They will cover them in plastic bags to save em from bad weather lol.
Personally I’d just carry em and wear an old pair but either way lol. They know I won’t just drop money on anything that they won’t take care of. This shows me that actually listen to me lol.
One of the proudest moments have came over the last few months when they’ve texted me about advice on girls lol. Then when I talk to them and hear their stories and how my advice helped them in some way, proud dad moment.

It makes it much easier to do for your kids when they appreciate what u do and say. My sons ac went out in his car a few months ago. Only after about 3 months he asked me one day if I ordered the parts yet lol. Little he knows I’m gonna get him a new car. Good kid though. Graduated with a 4.67 HS. And maintains 3.5 in college. Awesome man! Mine love basketball and my oldest is wanting to do whatever he can to play anywhere for a college team. He’s actually pretty good and is planning on summer camps to help him achieve his goal. I hope it works out for him.
I told mine if his vehicle ever breaks down that I’ll HELP him fix it. That way he can learn how to work on shit just like my dad taught me.
It’s great to hear about Dad’s that love and do for their children! Guys get such a bad wrap in the court system and with child support and what not because of some of the dead beat mother fuckers out there! I could never understand and never will understand how a man won’t pay for his child and be apart of their life just because they don’t want to! Kills me! My bad, went the wrong way there lol.
