One of the problems of open carry is you’ve already lost the element of any sort of surprise. You’ve defined yourself as the first target and highest priority for any criminal up to something nefarious

I hear that from time to time but the flip side is it could also be a deterrent. I personally don't believe either argument. Situational awareness is a bigger factor imo

I hated the G26 until I put some time behind it, G43 is in my gym bag. I’m eye fucking the G48 hard but would never buy a silver gun. So I’ll wait till it gets it’s proper color. Glock as a company mystifies me sometimes.

Personally I carry a G19 and I have for several years. Had a 43 at one point, but not enough capacity. Also had a XDS, but all the light striking paranoia caused me to sell it

I don’t think there’s any record of gun carrier has been targeted first in a shooting.

But that’s because they happen in gun free zones.

Adrenalin. First combat experience (I was never military). Family possibly behind me. I expect NONE of my first mag is having an impact other than deterrence. That’s why I carry two. I definitely haven’t trained enough.

Not serious. But there is a book called “One Second After” and it’s based on the aftermath of an EMP being dropped on the United States. Pretty amazing read to be honest

Magazine, pistols don’t take clips

Most modern pistols malfunction because of the magazine, the extra magazine is for two reasons, more rounds and to do a proper malfunction drill.
