Correct, I’m not bragging but I’ve been in dozens of firefights and I’m here to tell you hitting your target is a lot harder then the movies make it out to be, a lot harder.

I’ve done as much training as I can to simulate a real fire fight, but I’m sure nothing comes close.

I used to carry a sr9c, then glock 10mm.
Now I’ve got a variety of guns depending on my attire

Since we’re on guns. I’m far from a very knowledgeable person on guns or scopes. What would any of you recommend for AR15? And no I don’t need some 2k one either. $300-$500 range. Just shooting for fun nothing serious. View attachment 110169

@Mac11wildcat
Is this better for you? Not so Gucci with more rounds :D

You want complete or you trying to enjoy/learn? I say build one.

I do want a full size for the house and thinking Sig. Maybe the new Beretta.

@Mac11wildcat yes, I love the 10mm. I consider it a far superior round, but like everything else it does have its drawbacks

@HIGHRISK , palmetto state armory has ar uppers dirt cheap right now. I say buy a completed upper, a stripped lower, and build the lower yourself.

It’s a good experience and a way to familiarize yourself with the gun. It will cost under 600-700$ and run just fine.

Statistically most altercations are within 20 feet or something like that and are over after only a few rounds being fired.

But I’m more concerned about the day we get invaded or some crazy ass Mad Max scenario :eek:

Not serious. But there is a book called “One Second After” and it’s based on the aftermath of an EMP being dropped on the United States. Pretty amazing read to be honest
Yep I read one study they took people who have never shot a gun and put them at 15ft from a target and something like 74% of them hit it.

Experts were only 10% more accurate than novices between 3 and 15 ft.

And another thing, it’s not about the head shots. Center mass and shoot till they drop.

Every poll has its drawbacks. On the surface that looks like hey how hard is it to hit then? That study leaves out any type of stressors, say timed, shooting from draw or a ftf
