At the risk of sounding like a complete fucking idiot (too late!) when it comes to cars (cause I am) but do the Camaro’s and other cars like that have external speaker to sound louder than they are?? I live in an area with a LOT of them and I’ve seen more than a few that are incredibly loud and not like a glass packed muffler sound. Way more throaty and menacing. But in the same instant they go almost silent. Like WTF??

Lol no. Although Mustangs pipe engine noise into the cabin or replicate it on the speakers haha.

If a car goes silent after a loud WOT pull it’s probably an auto or the driver dropped a manual to N immediately. Manual cars will almost always make noise with pops and burbles on decel.

However, the mark of a well designed exhaust system is loud under High rev pulls/decel, quiet under cruise conditions.

My car has active exhaust which many do. WOT Flap opens and it's straight piped basically. Well mine is all the time because the fuse to control that has been pulled. At cruise my car is quiet at WOT is will literally scare the fuck out of you.
WOT = wide open throttle..

Thanks Mac—I could have sworn I saw something about speakers and engine sounds and the Mustang sounds like it was just that.

Ah got it. And yes I’ve had the shit scared out of me a few times. Thanks for the info.

I really enjoy explanations, maybe it's over my head though and I don't deserve one.

What mac is trying to say as politically correct as he can is

Doesn't matter what we do. Millard will let that bag of cock threaten peoples security and get away with it, and nothing we can do about it.

Yeah. It’s to make the old Mustang owners feel cool lol

What year mustangs had that. My sn-95 was just fucking loud. If i went into an underpass it would set off car alarms

Think they started that in like early 2010s? First it was piped in from the engine bay. Then it was speaker noise.
