Took 1 week off from the gym and...

Guys, i feel great.

Last week i posted how depressed I was with my phisique. Lots of guys advised me to take a week off and get my head straight.

It worked. All i did was surf every day last week and didnt even drive past my gym let alone think about it.

Yesterday was my first day back in the gym and I felt great. It put things into perspective. I really have come a long way standing 6'1" at 247lbs and 13%. Just 4 years ago i was a skinny 190lbs. Lifting and proper diet go a long way.

I have been off cycle for almost 9 months now and Ill be getting a good bulker together soon. I really just want to be as big as possible but still being able to run a 7 minute mile.

I would like to be able to run a 3min mile,but that probably won't happen.... Good luck in your quest. 350lbs at 4%BF sounds nice at 5'9". Alrightly,i'm tired. Sorry to invade your post bro :)
 
Time off

Kelly sometimes I take a week off and come back stronger and more enthusiastic, I think we tend to push ourselves so hard we get burned out. I'm sure some guys can handle that, I know for a fact I am not one of them. Also with the progress you have made you should be damn happy with your results. Surfing huh? I am just hoping the water level here doesn't get much higher, or I will be on CNN sitting on my roof floating down the river.

I take 3 weeks or so off per year. The week prior to me starting my cycle is always a week off for me and I do this for a couple of reasons. First, it allows my body to rest because come next week I am going to work the S- out of it. Second, since I'm used to going 5 days per week, by mid week of my off week I am so ready to get back in the gym that I cant stand it. It makes my first couple weeks of workouts on my cycle pretty effective.

happy to hear you got your head straight Kelly. Don't need anymore huge ass whackjobs running rampid through the gyms of america lol

A week off can be spritual at times. I enjoy the week off, but it DIES drive me crazy to be away. It's like me with AAS..i hate going off, but i know it's the best thing to do. Best of luck good bro.
 
Glad to hear your feeling better as well. I generally take about 3-4 weeks off per year from training, and about 2-3 weeks a year from "dieting". I usually feel guilty as Hell during the time off, but feel great when I get back on track. Peace.
