Okay yesterday morning i took my 2ccs of test en, and EQ, i injected into the thigh. I do this all the time and never have problems, i throw a heating pad on it and take a couple of advil and walla, no pain.

I went to my Muay thai class about 6ish, did a light warm up then sparred, about 15 minutes into it, i took a roundhouse to the thigh, which is cmon and im used to it, i am always still standing. Not this time, it hit right on the site where i injected, it is swollen, it is red, bruised, and im walking like a cripple.

has this happen to any fighters out there? Any advice on how to aleviate this pain?

No i dumped 1cc of test and 1cc of EQ.(2ccs total) But im in week 8, i havent had any problems until that kick.

Not only that, this guy didnt even lay into me that hard, i have had harder kicks. He hit right on the injection site.

It frigging hurts! Im trying to find out if this has happen to someone. Maybe someone injected in the shoulder, and then later on in the day you bang up your shoulder. It feels like a blood clot or something.

Well Maxx...I guess that's better than the PT(tm) lol :D

Sounds like you just got tagged, its no biggie. Just take the pain and wait it out.

BTW-what Muay Thai class has a "roundhouse" kick? Do you mean Karate class? I believe Muay Thai (at least traditionally) only has high/mid/low kicks. A muay thai kick has one pivot (and most Dutch kickboxers dont even pivot at all) and a roundhouse has 2 pivots. Muay thai impact is with foot/lower shin and a roundhouse impacts with the heel. It may be a modified Muay Thai, just never seen a Muay Thai fighter throw a legit roundhouse.

Anyways, just take pain relievers and push through the pain. Sucks doesnt it!

Also, just give you instructor a call and ask. He has probably been tagged really bad several times, and he might know some "tricks of the trade" so to speak. I wouldnt tell him about the AAS though.

P.S. I wouldnt recommend a Muay Thai fighter inject in the quads anyways. You are going to be tagged their multiple times. Does you class wear shinpads?

Also, if it is REALLY bothering you that bad, just go to a sporting goods store, go into the football section. They make things that look like biker shorts, but they have pockets on the insides over the thighs. Buy one and buy the SOFTEST thigh-pads they sell for football pants. Put the pads inside the biker-shorts and wear the biker-shorts under your Muay-Thai Shorts. They should be loose anyways for highkicks.

Be prepared to take kicks like that if you ever plan to compete in Thai boxing. The really good, strong guys are going to nail you there over and over. Get used to it.

I hope I have been helpful.

Thanks for the help Mark, im gonna get those shorts after work, and throw some hotpacks in there.ha

Yes we call the low/mid/high kicks, round kicks or roundhouse. These kick are guidline kicks for the Thai Boxing Assc. of USA. If your familiar with Thai boxing it is the standard kick in the basic 4 & 8 count drills.

I have been in Taekwondo -judo and Hapkaido for 22 years bro - used to compete in fighting all of the time - had those same things happen all of the time - what you have is a bad charlie horse in an area you probably aggravated a little by injecting there - what you need is ice and heat alternating each three to four times per day until it goes away - can you get into a hot tub or whirlpool? They really help

also use some ibuprofen as it helps get the inflammation out
