Torn medial head of tricep

Anyone here have the same injury? It is diagnosed as a medial tear and am on the fence with surgery. I hear it is an easy surgery but the recovery is a very hard and long process. Trying to weigh my options here and gather others perspectives.

Have you gotten a second medical opinion on if surgery is necessary?

Have been away from the forums for a bit. Thank you for your responses. I am actually going for a second opinion this week.

I want to avoid surgery if it is possible but I want to still be able to move some heavy weight for at least the next couple of years. It is what keeps me emotionally stable and sane. It is my therapy sort of speak.

I find a lot more solace in powerlifting routines than in bodybuilding routines. Don’t get me wrong it is fun every once in a while to chase the pump.

Got the second opinion with an mri. It is now a 25 percent tear. Mri showed other things as well though such as bicep tendinitis, bursitis, and elbow arthritis. Doc talked about PRP injections but said he doesn’t believe in them. He prescribed physical therapy and other options such as ultrasound technology etc. Has anyone done PRP injections and have they worked for you? Also, would HGH be beneficial in my situation to help the muscle/tendon repair?
