Thanks broYeah...unless you’re Ronnie, don’t have 60m, or train like a pussy this is usually a terrible idea. The only reason to train twice a day would be that you can either recover well enough to takes two beatings a day (this is MEGA RARE), that you don’t have time in a single block to thoroughly train (thus making one session into two), or that your training is nowhere near hard enough for one session to satisfy the stimulus needs for growth.
If you insist on giving it a go, I think Tnation has a decent guide on twice a days of the same muscle group. I’ve also done different groups for twice a days; one workout is heavy to failure, the other is pump/volume. That’s a bit more challenging to layout. What I found is that if you have 60-90m to train once a day, it is far more simple (diet, training), effective (focus on a single session), and manageable with life. Thanks bro

We have 50years of knowledge on the 70s. And a lot of those guys were bb by profession. If your ONLY focus is recovering for training, much more doable. But there’s a reason the 2x a day guys aren’t just better...because it’s very hard to optimize and some people genetically cannot recover. If you move big weight, 2x a day is also MUCH harder.Lot's of guys in the 70s trained 2x day and I still see lots of people training 2x day, but not the same body part.
This.Squatting twice a day works well for some Olympians that I know, but that's about it. Unless that's your goal I'd say heed the advice provided.
