Whats everyones goals for training this coming year? Maybe you haven't given it much thought but this time of years usually gets us thinking. Just figured I'd ask cause if we put it down here maybe it will help us to stay a little more motivated/accountable to achive it.

Personally im looking to get a lot stronger this year. Im started to heal up well from an injury that slowed me down a lot towards the end of this year. Im looking to come back stronger than ever. Mainly I want to build more explosive power, mostly in the lower body, which will really benefit me more in my sport. In the process i want to increase my main four lifts, bench, deads, squats and overhead press. Im am not happy with my progress in strength this last year so time to make up for it.

If i put on another 10 or 15lbs of muscle while dropping 5 lbs of fat i would be pretty pumped about that too as I will be training naturally.

Good luck achieving your goals this new year boys, now lets hear em.

For 2016 my goal is to put on size and increase strength. My worst trouble spots are my legs due to having destroyed my knees playing football as a kid but I am forging on with building my legs up. As I have trouble with squats due to the aforementioned knee issues been using a squat press machine as a substitute for squats. Rolling my left knee when I slipped on my icy porch this past winter only aggravated my situation. Right now it's healed so just resumed leg work and that will continue and just getting back to deadlifting.

First thing is to get some good numbers at my meet next month. A few months down the road I'm planning a cut to get back down to a decent BF%. Beyond that I'd like to exceed my current numbers being much leaner.

Winning Mr.O would be nice......;) but realisticly, at the end of this year i wanna start a show prep and do my first show. Dont have to win shit, just doing a wicked prep and being up there shredded as a motherfucker would be a huge accomplishment for me.

You planning on putting up a log on here for your show prep ?

I want to start training with heavier weights. Cut down on the volume and add strength. I want to bench 300 and right now I'm kinda stuck at around 280-285. I am also starting to look a little top heavy. My legs need more mass.

I am still looking for a leg program that will help me achieve my goals.
My bum right knee doesn't like heavy squatting or maybe it's my improper form. Either way I need to find a solution.

Wear a knee wrap/brace to give your knee some support. I wear them as my knees are shot to hell and they keep my knee joints stable. Also double check your form as well. Why not post up a vid sometime so experienced eyes can help you find any problems with your form.

I found also stretching and foam rolling my legs helps with loosening them up.

As for bench, try changing your grip and make sure your bench form is spot on.

Gonna make myself leaner and meaner and pushing heavier and heavier. I gotta get the bar bending on my bench press cause ya know if it ain't bending your just pretending. But in all seriousness I would like to hold my current numbers on the big 3 and lose another 7 pounds if I can manage that and stay there I will be happy for a few months. My full year goal is to get my brother up in his training (he starts as a resolution we this year but has me to kick his ass to the gym) and to progress to a 545 deadlift 495 squat and 365 bench. Just remember boys that even you had to start somewhere and if it happened to be after new years or a couple months before summer to look good at the beach you were the rookie there. So be kind to the rookies that are genially interested and trying as I think it's important to get more strong motherfuckers in this world, plus the better we look the better the woman will have to look too;)
