Transferring oils for long term storage

I understand what you're saying now. I have a vaccum sealer for long term food storage, might have to mess around with it one of these weekends. One downside I see is that it would mean I couldn't store the vials in the cases I use, and they'd take up considerably more space. Not a big deal for most though. Thanks for the idea!
I think its a bit over the top and yes it would be difficult to store large amounts of vials that way. you mentioned that the research suggests that freezing them can help them last decades, if you have easy access to any articles about that topic could you send them to me?

I think you'd net essentially the same result as pulling a vacuum with a syringe. I don't think the vacuum sealers are stronger, and would likely leave the same or more residual air/gas in a vial compared to pulling with a syringe.

You will get some leakage back in pulling the needle, but I don't think it'd be more than the difference from a home use vacuum sealer. May be worth testing, but getting a vacuum gauge into the chain in either of those may be more trouble than it's worth.

I just ordered 5 year supply of test u in CASTOR oil for my trt and was planning on buying 5 more years worth and lust storing it at room temp away from light. I feel people get paranoid about it not lasting long,I hope I'm right. if it were to go 'bad' what would I notice other than a darker color oil? would I get bad PIP?

Lol what did you do with those p10 vials?

I mean they're still here. I'm pretty confident that 10 of them are good at 258mg per ml. the other 5 vials I had that were a more clear color I had one tested and came back at 199mg per ml so I threw away all the clear ones and kept the 10 more yellow ones. I'm guessing you saw my post about my janoshik results? I'm ordering through OEP from now on

I've never done it so I'm not an expert but my understanding is if you remove the needle from the syringe and put it into the vials and have the needle above the oil lingering in the air above the oil, then put the vials in a vacuum seal bag facing upward and start the machine it will draw the air out of the bag and out of the vials through the needle and then place in the freezer face up
if you put it facing up air pressure will crush the needle into the vial and the bag will block escaping air from the needle. They have to be lying down in the bag. All sounds dubious.

Tried it.

You have to put the needle on an angle into the air gap lying down. The return air pressure in the chamber vacuum machine crushes everything. Not sure how much vacuum you will get with other vacuum systems.

I wouldn't think freezing the rubber stopper with a hole in it will do it much good in the long run. It is supposed to "self heal", my guess is that hole might not close up properly if it stays like that for years, especially at low temps..

Does the oil flow out if you flip it?
nah. Tried shaking it. The plastic bag basically seals the needle connector. The chamber vacuum machine creates quite a strong vacuum. I would have to unseal the bag which will push any oil in the needle back into the vial. I am gonna stick in the freezer for a few days see how it comes out.

The only concern is how much damage the needle does to the stopper as it still gets crushed in with the return air. The needle inside the vial has been bent and jammed into the side of the vial. You can always transfer to new vial if the stopper is compromised.

I put a vials of test cyp in the freezer two days ago and the oil still isn't frozen. does the oil just not freeze? and it didn't crash either which I'm pressed by actually. its primal's test cyp P10
Depending on the oil type, and BB and BA content, as well as your freezers temperature, you might get frozen oil, you might get a gel or slushy-like oil, or a molasses like consistency oil. Crashing doesn't always happen either, as you noticed. None of these things are going to really change anything as far as the long term storage considerations go
