Tren Ace and Other Options for Last Few Pounds

Hey all. I (37m) started a cut back in April at 225 and worked my way down to 195, roughly 15% body fat. I’m currently eating 1800 calories, 250 protein, 140c, 30-35f, lifting 5 days a week (creeping death 2) and walking 45min 4 days a week. I’d like to hit 12% bf, but don’t feel like I have much more room to drop the calories. I’m currently on 400mg test/200mg primo and am considering adding 25mg/daily Tren Ace to the mix to finish things up. Thoughts around this or are there other compounds I should be looking at? Thanks in advance.

Are you asking this because you stopped losing weight? If you are losing 1-2 pounds per week I’d keep it where you’re at. Going off of your physique level I’d say your stack is good. No need for tren. I’d rather you implement carb cycling and up the cardio slightly before talking about tren. If anything the furthest I’d have you go is 100 test prop 100 mast prop EOD.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Yes, things have plateaued. Cutting calories down further will be difficult - I don’t like going below 1700. I can add in more cardio, what are your thoughts? What would the mast and additional 100mg of test add to my current stack?

How long have you been training?

You don't need any more gear. Especially not tren based off your pic.

On and off for years, consistently for 1.5 years. I’ve made good progress over the past year, but am leaning up before I put on some much needed mass.

How long have you been in a deficit? Your cortisol could be high because of it, meaning your body is storing fat. Carb refeeding should definitely be implemented when cutting. You could always add in clenbuterol and/or T3 as your metabolism has more than likely decreased due to the weight loss. Those drugs are really for the pros though. If you plan on using them I would suggest a low dosage. Also as soon as you stop the T3 you will more than likely gain weight back and it will have a catabolic effect on your lean body mass, where as Clen will not. GH is also known for lipolysis.

Up your cardio intensity. Instead of walking, replace it with the stair climber at the gym at a fast pace. You've got to get your heart rate higher than what walking will do, consistently. Carb cycling is a great idea as well. You could do 5 days of 20g and 2 re feed days where carbs are high.

If you're wanting to go the pharmaceutical/anabolics route, try a 6 week cycle of Clen, if you can tolerate it. Clen will preserve your muscle while you're cutting carbs, and increase your heart rate.

Tren is a tricky thing. Best not to go down that route unless you are really prepared for the possible consequences.

If you want to get a little boost, add 20mg of Anavar daily with your Clen. It will increase your strength, even in a deficit, so you can continue to engage those muscle fibers while you're losing body fat. My 2 cents...

I’m at 15 weeks now. Cortisol is likely high, I have a sleep disorder and average 5-6 hours a night. I’d like to stay away from clen. I was working with a coach and we started with 25mg of t3 for the first 8 weeks and I cycled off of it. I’m going to get blood work done next week and hop back on if everything looks good.

Thanks for the response. My heart rate is 125-130 when I’m on the treadmill. I used to be an ultra marathoner so I use my Garmin to track it. I appreciate the warnings on Tren. I have been considering a low dose to see how I react, but I’d prefer other options.
Is this a joke? Please say it is...

400mg testosterone and this body?

My god, I didn't see this...

Definitely not a joke. 200mg/week is my prescribed TRT dosage to get me within range. As for this body, I’m content with it as it’s much better than where I began.

15 weeks is a long time to be cutting. You've likely stalled as RTFT said because your cortisol is high. Instead of throwing more drugs in the mix, up your calories to maintenance for 4-6 weeks and up the cardio. Your HR should be getting up to 140-160 for optimal fat burning. Incorporate HIIT instead of steady state cardio.

Your abs and obliques are very underdeveloped as well. Start hitting them 3x a week so when you get lean down the line they show. They are just like any other muscle, you have to target them with progressive overload to stimulate growth. The guys that say you dont need to hit abs because you hit them with compound lifts are all under 5'9 and have a short torso.

After this is done, throw in anavar at 100mg to finish off the cut and polish up your look. Tren is only for the most advanced users and is not like other anabolics. It will fuck up your life if not handled correctly as you can see by the countless posts of people asking for help because they thought Tren was something to be taken lightly.

I'm in my 20s, fairly advanced and even I don't touch that shit anymore.

Don't go down that route. I know its tempting AF, I have contemplated it too

There really is no reason to utilize tren, atleast to shed a last few lbs from 15%.

Like what others said, plenty of other options.
EC stack
anavar
Clen,
Semaglutide
I guess it may be a bit late to start HGH.

Don't lean up before you put on mass. My opinion. Just focus on strength. Strength is harder to have when your body fat is low. Use the power of your body fat to build up your frame. Conditioning will come with training.

Appreciate the advice. I’ve been debating taking a break and will likely go this route.

Yeah, it definitely can be tempting. I’ll hold off - appreciate the other options.

I didn’t. I was up to 225 and had some decent strength from where I was at, but needed to lean up a bit from there. After the cut wraps up, I’m going to work with a coach to add some much needed size while holding off on adding back in the bf. Appreciate your advice.

Take a flexing pic imo

I think what you really need is just an overall body recomp and patience. Even if you were 6% bodyfat you wouldn’t look like you want to look because you lack overall development and muscle maturity - this will come with time - just keep going! And consider hiring a coach, we can point you in the direction of some good coaches if you’re interested.

I agree completely Zach. I got down to 180 (14.5% bf bod pod tested) last year and felt the same way. I attempted to bulk, but I’ve always struggled with putting on weight cleanly. I appreciate the support and would welcome any recommendations.

Eating clean and adding weight isn’t difficult. Find your maintenance calories..then go into a surplus. If you’re not gaining keep adding calories. If you’re eating clean with 250-300g protein, 350-400g carbs, and 100g of fat and NOT gaining weight then add more carbs. Lol. I’m eating ultra fucking strict literally white rice, chicken, beef vegetables, and fruit…gaining weight slowly but gaining nonetheless.

Don’t add tren even at a “low dose” of 25mg/week. Also fire your coach. Is your coach strictly online? I feel like if the dude was legit would be saying all of the shit everyone on here is saying. Nothing against you not trying to be a dick. But cycling carbs, diet, legit program are all things he should have been doing for you or advising you on. At least in my opinion. Fuck coming anymore cutting. Gain some muscle/strength. Gaining muscle will naturally make you leaner and look the way you want. You could look pretty solid within 6-12 at most months EASILY dude.

I don’t take what you’re saying as being a dick, it’s what I need to hear and I appreciate it. I know you say bulking isn’t hard, but every time I do it, I balloon up, even if I’m counting calories. That’s what I want to avoid and I agree, going with a coach for putting on size is the right move. Thanks again for the advice.

Edit: coach was fired when he wanted to dip below 30g of fat a day this far out. I’m looking for another one so I’m open to opinions.
