Tren sides actually guaiacol sides?

Could the usually reported side effects from Trenbolone actually be side effects from guaiacol?

Trenbolone is almost always mixed with guaiacol as it has a very high melting point.
Guaiacol is toxic, and side effects include:
  • difficulty sleeping.
  • headache.
  • an increase in the thickness of lung secretions.
  • drowsiness.
  • dizziness.

Has anyone tried pure Trenbolone raw powder straight up in 99.9% DMSO to assess the effects of the drug in isolation of any other adjuvent?

If that where true than test base would cause the same issues, which it doesn't to my knowledge, I've never run tren but don't get those sides from test base

None of the tren that I have used contained guaiacol. It has a very distinctive scent that is impossible to miss. I have experienced a good number of the typical tren sides: heartburn, insomnia, increased sweating, and altered cognition.

Also, as far as I know (I have never brewed any gear, so maybe there's some esoteric knowledge that I don't know), guaiacol is not added because of high melting point: it is added because the unesterified version of tren (tren base) has low solubility in most carrier oils, and cosolvents like guaiacol and ethyl oleate help solubilize the tren. Esterification - especially with a long ester such as enanthate - increases solubility in oils so no cosolvents are necessary, and higher concentrations are possible.

Funny, test base dissolves very easily in DMSO, test prop almost doesn't dissolve.

This can be explained by the differing polarities of the drugs. DMSO is very polar (unlike oils), and test base is more polar than test prop, because of the presence of an alcohol instead of an ester. The esterification of the alcohol lowers that carbon's polarity considerably, making the prop less polar overall. This makes it more soluble in nonpolar solvents (e.g., oils), and less soluble in polar solvents.

I had no idea, it's a great deal of knowledge you just brought, and I have been researching transdermals for a good while.
I'm going to try again dissolving test prop in MCT oil, with pure alcohol too if necessary.

Thanks man, it's what I do for a living ha. MCT should work fine, and adding an alcohol would only help dissolve it. Whenever I work with cholesterols and steroids at work, I typically use ethanol and I haven't found one that isn't highly soluble.

Are you a biochemist? A compounding pharmacist?

I'm an organic chemist with a strong biochemistry/chemical biology background, currently working for a big evil pharma company.
My long time girlfriend is a PharmD at a research college/hospital. We talk drugs all day long. She does all kinds of compounding. Our place could be mistaken for a crack house with all these powders everywhere.

I've run many different trenbolones over the years - Never ever have I had one that was in Guaiacol!! The only compounds that should be in that stuff are Oral Injectables to keep them in suspension and even then its not necessary. Some of the top labs never use it in theirs.

Working at a research hospital sounds like a very enjoyable job. I considered the PharmD route, but it costs too damn much. I have a friend who accrued $206,000 in debt from pharmacy school alone. His first job out of school paid $90k, but that debt is unreal.

Yes. It's lovely paying it:)

As has been said, tren doesn’t contain guaciaol. the only med I’ve had that did is injectable anadrol and it stank my whole house out every time I did a jab. You’d know if your tren had it.

I know of a few UGL's that have started doing this practice, they then tell the customers that it has to be suspended in it and all the dumbasses and newbies believe them!

This thread is way beyond me.

We all were beginners at some point too, nothing to be ashamed of.
Slowly read your way in the stickies for example until you get a good grasp of the fundamentals. After that, any thread like this one will be a walk in the park.
Welcome to the forum by the way!
