TRT and Left Ventricular Hypertrophy

Be careful with this one for certain. I had swollen ankles and they suspected this of me last year.

I asked if it was due to my trt and he said not a chance, not on that dose, but I had cycled prior and I was nervous. I was on diuretics for a couple months and tests came back negative, but it was a scare for me.

My point is I’d gather as much data from as many professional resources as possible, and if the prescribing doctor is knowledgeable and aware you should be ok.

May you be in good health moving forward. I’d assume it will be ok, but I’d love for you to make sure the dosage and other factors might not overlap and cause anymore damage.

200 mg weekly is unlikely to be a TRT dosage. Otherwise, left ventricular hypertrophy has not been observed in TRT studies. Although it's often observed in dosages higher than TRT. An annual echo of the heart can provide confidence.

Edit: I think I misread your OP. You already have left ventricular hypertrophy? Have they been able to find a cause and do you happen to know the dimensions and to what degree it has impacted functional parameters of the heart?

When I had an echo done yesterday I told the cardiologist that I use hormones and mentioned testosterone. He ASKED me if testosterone is bad for your heart. I was like...umm yes? Steroids can cause LVH, heart enlargement, plague buildup etc. He was genuinely curious.
