TRT lawsuits

I just saw an "ambulance chaser" commercial looking for anyone who has become a "victim" of testosterone therapy. I didn't catch the firm and there was no specific company mentioned, but they were looking for anyone who has suffered heart attack, stroke, or blood clot due to TRT. I have seen these types of commercials for medications that were removed from the market due to health issues (phentermine, yaz, etc), but never for a product still on the market or this vague. Could lawsuits like these be the end of TRT?

Just seen the same thing and got to say I was calling her a few choice words!! Trt has been a real quality of life changer for me.

There is, and always will be, a legitimate medical reason for TRT. Until they come up with a safer alternative to testosterone, I don't think there's any way they can do away with it entirely. The products like yaz and phentermine were just one of many products that produced the same result. There were alternatives and they were too dangerous, so they were pulled. They can always make it more involved to get on TRT if there are any pre-existing conditions, but I just can't see it going anywhere. I hope not - I'm on it and hope they don't make me jump through any more hoops if I switch clinics.

Wow. Well I suppose it'd make a few docs gun shy in regards to prescribing it but I also think unless the doc was just blatantly prescribing TRT with no oversight, it be hard to prove that the condition came from TRT or if there was any negligence on the doc's part.

I would like to think this but if you can get money from mcdonalds for making you fat it makes me worry

I even saw an ad on Facebook for the Lawsuits. You can't get away from it. I know from some friends that the Docs are getting very Skittish over this TRT therapy, and when to offer it. Your Test has to be way, way down, and even then, they're not giving these guys the Dosages, that they should be................JP

TRT isn't going anywhere. It might not be scripted as liberally as it has been in the past bit the treatment as a whole will be available until it can be replaced.

Also, FWIW Phentermine is still available. My mother has been on it for the past few months.

I would imagine they are after the doctors as you guys mentioned. No specific pharm company was mentioned in the commercial. This really sucks for guys that are low "normal" that want to improve their quality of life. I can't stand personal injury lawyers. IMO they are the lowest of the low. Trying to make a buck off someone's pain and suffering.

I saw one on tv too. It really pisses me off to see those commercials. The blood suckers are after money and end up misinforming the public because not many people want to read clinical studies or even educate themselves. So, now the masses are going to be spouting off the dangers of testosterone therapy without really trying to understand the purpose of the treatment.

it comes down to risk vs benefit. imo the benefits out way the risk.
someone thinks they can make some $ off of it, and thats were lawyers come into the picture.
i don't hear of any women facing lengthy prison sentences for the use of estrogen but test is a crime? i've been an outlaw for some time now.
i understand that both require a script but there is still a double standard when it comes to punishment. testosterone scares society.

Very true Big Paul. It is those commercials which spread misinformation to the masses in the pursuit of money that really pisses me off. And, it seems that testosterone is unjustly vilified around every corner.
