TRT Protocol

My GP prescribed me test C 200. She's prescribed a frequency of 1 mL every 14 days. Is this typical? How can you even build serum levels at this dose with the cyp ester? Not only that, she plans to wait 3 months to pull labs.

I'm just like 'whatever' since I'll be managing my own TRT+ protocol (as I have been) but it just seems weird since it contradicts a lot of what we talk about around here regarding serum levels and shot frequencies. Is she just out of touch or is this a normal protocol for TRT?

That’s what my first urologist started me at. We also waited 3 months to see how it affected my levels. Lo and behold it did not work. So we tried 200 once per week, and waited another 3 months. That had me too high for what they wanted. Ended up on settling in at 140 once a week, which I split up on my own. Now I just return to that dose 1 month before my annual bloods with my new uro.

This is basically what I'm thinking I'll have to do. Roll with her program while she figures out where she wants me, meanwhile I'm doing what's best for me behind the scenes.

It's funny because the way I got my T to show low enough to qualify for TRT was by stopping my Test C 2 weeks before the lab draw lol. So she's going to see the same levels on retest. SMH.

Yeah I have limited options available for my urologist choices, but in my experience they don’t know wtf they are doing for the most part. It was a frustrating 6-9 months to start my hormone stuff especially since I was genuinely hypogonadal before starting any sort of testosterone, trt or beyond. So I actually just wanted normal levels at that point lol. Goodluck on your end fella

Pretty normal, which does not mean it is good, just that it is normal.

Cookie cutter protocol.

But there's a reason - my wife, when she prescribes trt, follows the medical resource called "up to date" which basically flow charts the symptoms and numbers and gives them the protocol to prescribe.

Unless you have a doc who is extra specialized or knowledgeable that's probably where they are getting it. If they have extra knowledge then they may use something on their own. For example - my wife kinda specializes in female hormone therapy - she doesn't really use the cookie cutter protocol for those patients. Her knowledge of men is less specialized - so that's what she uses.

* I just asked her - and she sent me a screenshot of what tool they use.

Most doctors don't have a clue as to how to properly prescribe TRT. They know the half life and basically assign a bi-weekly dose to match what they think will work. If I were you, I'd inject twice weekly half of whatever full weekly dose you think works best for you. Pull your own labs in a month and see where you are. Adjust if necessary.

200mg every 14 days, the protocol that makes you supraphysiological in the beginning and have the test levels of a woman at the end. Sometimes I wonder if doctors care about their patients at all LOL

Even funnier is they are only giving me 1 mg vials, 2 at a time lmao. Can't wait to see what these look like.

She like many GPs is retarded and uneducated.

That is a roller coaster frequency. Fire her and find someone to dose you every 7 days at 100-150 mg. Then dial in to every 5 days with a good GP or Endo.

This crap from “doctors” if GPs can even be called that anymore just ticks me off

The 'nice' thing about the 1ml vials - especially if you are only doing trt doses most of the time - is that if you use a slin pin there's a little bit more than 1ml in each vial. Figure 1.1 - 1.2 ml. Combine that with refill your rx as early as you can - and eventually you get some extra test laying around.

After stocking up on this for 5 years of TRT, I've ran 2 short blasts of 300 and 400 a week, and am now in week 9 of a blast where I've got up to 600 test a week - and this is the stock I still have left. That looks like 65 or so ml of test.

Which is silly - as that's only 6 real vials - but still - I don't have to buy test.

Ya man, worked like a charm. I just used anavar and TNE on workout days, didn't miss a beat at the gym and tested ~100 TT. My FT was normal range but still got me some free TRT.

Which pharmacy? I've seen a few people here say cvs was doing this

Walgreens. Not sure it matters though, it's what the GP prescribed.

Nah, Imma play her like a fiddle to get more free test.

Hell ya man. That's kinda why I wanted to get on legit TRT with the uncertain times we're living in. That and I wanted some clinical support with my polypharmacy.

That's gay as hell LMAO.

Can a provider specify a 10mL vial or is CVS pretty much like fuck you, this is what you'll get?
My brother gets a 10 ml vial , but he goes through a clinic, i think most insurance companies are only allowing so much per month as "Trt" prescribed, that would be my guess,
