Trukkers Hormone Highway to Hell

Here's mine from spending Thanksgiving with the family. I'm keeping this for black mail I told her

12/9/15 chest/bi

Took 2 cups of liquid motivation this morning. That and a pack of wild berry poptarts. I have no idea why we are so busy right now at work. Supposed to be a slow period. Its affecting my training dammit!

I'm beyond excited today. I tied my previous PR today of 300x5 on incline barbell. Got it easy too. Funny thing is I'm strong in reps of 5 for this exercise and no more.

I got
265x6
285x5
300x5.
Weird. Seems like I'm fast twitch dominant for chest.

NEXT WEEK I'M GOING FOR MY CYCLE GOAL OF 315 FOR REPS. HOPEFULLY 5. I WILL SINCERELY TRY MY HARDEST TO CATCH IT ON VIDEO. I'VE NEVER BEEN UNDER 315 NOT ON INCLINE. I'M SO READY. FULL WIDE FLAIR REPS. I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M HERE ABOUT TO DO IT!!!

Also I did
Incline dumbbell presses at 15°/▪
80x10
80x10
70x10
60x10
The point here is to have slow reps with a pause in the contraction position. I'm notrying trying for big weight.

I've eliminated all flat work for chest as I have found that incline is best and keeps the focus on the damn chest way better

ANOTHER PR TODAY
UP 30 LBS FROM LAST WEEK ON THE PEC DEC

130x16
145x16
160x12☆ +30lb. !!!
145x12

CHEST 144 REPS TOTAL

Machine Preacher 100x12 100x12 100x10

Incline dumbbell curls
35x16
40x12
45x12☆ +10 lb

Another PR up 10 lbs from last week. Same reps

BICEPS 74 REPS TOTAL

I'm feeling the strain of increased volume. Not a bad thing but the totally recovered feeling is gone. My arms are still feeling it when I hit them again. But like I said it feels...right. so nothing changes here going forth. Arms 2x weekly. Hell I'm still hitting strength gains for arms so I'm on the right path.

All around a badass fucking workout. I'm planting my seeds to make them noodles grow. NOW GROW DAMMIT.

Looking good Trukk. Congrats on the PR. And thats a beast on the incline, I cant count how many times I see some hit 315 flat and then struggle on 185 incline (im also excited about doing incline again. My current program doesnt involve it, but my new one will).

I also love hitting goals early in the cycle / training regime. Blow past what you thought you could do!

Thanks man. Flat bench is extremely popular for a number of reasons. 1 major reason is you can do way way more weight. I sacrificed my ego and eliminated flat from my arsenal. At least for now. Why? Because in my particular instance incline is far superior for building the muscle in the RIGHT PLACE which is the chest. Sacrifice my ego for gains.

Flat bench is also more "showie". Its a glamour lift. So for a lot of people it is all ego. I actually could incline more that flat until my 1st cycle. And the only reason that changed is because I wanted to show off.
Flats definetly more important now that Im into PLing, but like I said, im excited to get back to doing some of the accessory exercises in my new template. I think incline gives you that fuller chest look, especially in clothes.

Also that volume is beastly. Howve you been doing with recovery?
Here is the thing my large muscle groups chest, back and legs don't care. They grow and grow on once a week. So I'm not messin with that.

The arms is the sole focus here. A tracked rep count is crucial as I'm increasing my work load each week. My arms are feeling it but it's a good feeling as I'm STILL hitting strength marks for bi/tri. So despite the fatigue I believe I'm headed in the right direction. Also when I can I'm hittin em 2x a day which is work schedule dependent. Like my childhood idol brian hellwig said " everytime I hear some one talk about over training it makes my estrogen rise. Everyone wants to make it so complicated. It's never changed. Hard work and dedication" nuff said

There is no doubt. It is better at chest development

I agree and disagree. Flat is a better compound lift FOR ME. It hits my triceps more (which I need) and it gives me an overall better chest pump then incline. Incline hits my front delts a lot better but overall flat is better for me IMO. It doesn't have to be a ego lift

We might as well just quit and become heavy equipment mechanics. Just had some show up on my job site to fix a dozer and those 2 guys were twice my size and had the biggest forearms I had ever seen. FML :(
