Trump would get that amount in protesters alone
Would be interesting if Trump held a rally in the same convention center.

Fading star power of Obama draws only 750 people for kickoff rally of his election campaigning

Gone are the heady days when Barack Obama could fill a stadium with his followers. Like a former sitcom star now doing dinner theater performances, he is self-relegated to lesser venues and smaller crowds. On Saturday, at what Think Progress (house organ of the left-wing Center for American Progress) called "his first campaign stop of the midterm elections," only 750 people (T.P.'s estimate) turned out at the Anaheim Convention Center to partake of the Barack experience.

WASHINGTON — Paul Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign chairman, agreed on Friday to cooperate with the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, as part of a deal in which he pleaded guilty to reduced charges.

Appearing in United States District Court in Washingon, Mr. Manafort entered guilty pleas on two charges. Andrew Weissmann, the lead prosecutor, told Judge Amy Berman Jackson that there was a cooperation agreement with Mr. Manafort.

It was not immediately clear what information he might be providing to prosecutors or how the plea agreement might affect Mr. Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and related questions about possible collusion by the Trump campaign and obstruction of justice by Mr. Trump.

President Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort is pleading guilty Friday to two criminal charges under terms of a plea deal that includes his cooperation as a potential witness for special counsel Robert S. Mueller III.

The decision by Manafort to provide evidence in exchange for leniency on sentencing is a stunning development in the long-running probe into whether any Trump associates may have conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 election.

Manafort’s defenders have long insisted that he would not cooperate with Mueller, and didn’t know any incriminating information against the president.

Prosecutor Andrew Weissmann said at the beginning of Friday’s plea hearing that Manafort has agreed to cooperate with investigators.

Honestly, there is not a way in hell that no reporting team confirmed he was not cooperating. So you knew he was cooperating by the failure of anyone to get clarity on that. Mueller has basically delayed that news until after Manafort already gave them key evidence.

One other thing that has gotten too little attention. Manafort learned what Gates already testified to in prep for the EDVA trial. So he knows that Gates had already gotten Mueller 90% of the way to the Russian conspiracy charge.

Reasons why this is pardon proof:

1) Mueller already got the key pieces of testimony a pardon would thwart.
2) Manafort is subject to civil forfeiture; he loses $46M even w/pardon.
3) The dropped charges can be filed in states.

A pardon, at this point, does nothing. Nothing.

So Mueller's day (so far):

1) He just paid for the investigation.
2) He got the witness that EVEN TRUMP has said has the goods on him.
