In November America knocks the hell out of the megalomaniac moron trump.
NOAM CHOMSKY: President Trump is desperate. His entire attention is—there’s one issue on his mind; that’s the election. He has to cover up for the fact that he is personally responsible for killing tens of thousands of Americans. It is impossible to conceal that much longer. Just compare the United States with Europe or even Canada; it’s becoming a pariah state to the point where Americans aren’t even permitted to travel to Europe. Europe won’t accept them.
His chances of victory depend on his doing something dramatic. He was trying very hard to set up military confrontations that you mentioned, martial law. It’s moving toward martial law. He might even be able to try to cancel the elections. There is no telling what he would do. He is completely desperate. This is like the actions of some tin-pot dictator in a neo-colony somewhere, small country that has a military coup every couple of years. There is no historical precedent for anything like this in a functioning democratic society. If he could send Blackshirts out in the streets, he would be happy to do that.
Exactly how this will eventuate is very hard to say. The courts are unlikely to do anything. We may even get to a point where the military command has to decide which side they are on. The man is desperate. He is psychotic. He is in extreme danger of losing his position in the White House and will do anything he can to prevent it.

In light of this mindset, coupled with active attempts by countries like Russia to subvert U.S. democracy and the rampant spread of conspiracy theories on social media, experts expressed deep concern about the coming election.
“The president has already…promoted a number of debunked conspiracy theories regarding efforts by the Democrats to work with foreign countries to oust him. He’s already promoted debunked conspiracy theories about methods used to vote,” Cohen told me.
“But what concerns law enforcement officials is that those same narratives, that same rhetoric is being noted by those who actually believe in these conspiracy theories and who belong to these domestic extremist communities. If the election ends up with [Trump] losing, there’s a very real concern that we may see violence occurring in cities across the country.”
Meanwhile, recent extremist activity may be just a taste of what’s to come. “This is kind of a practice run to what we could see later this summer,” Johnson said, “as well as into the fall going into the election.”
Trump was musing to Dave Portnoy, the controversial founder of the website Barstool Sports, about how his life was better before he announced his presidential candidacy. As he did in March, Trump then spoke of an incident he claimed took place at a New York City charity gala after he became a politician in 2015.
"One thing that happened: I was going into a thing called the Robin Hood Foundation. I'll never forget it," Trump said in the interview, which Portnoy released on Friday.
"It was just about the night I announced or whatever. My wife looked at me, she said, 'You know, I hear people booing.' And she was with me for a long time, we've been together a long time, she said, 'Some people are booing.' I said, 'Yeah, but some people are also clapping. Wildly.' I said, 'No.' She said, 'You know what, I've been with you a long time. I've never heard anyone boo you.' This was right after I started being the politician. And it meant something -- because I said, you know, it's the first time in my life I was ever booed."
Facts First: This story could not possibly be true: Trump has not attended the Robin Hood Foundation gala since 2011. Also, the 2015 gala was held in May, a month before Trump announced his candidacy -- so, even if he had gone, he could not possibly have been booed there for his immigration positions as a new candidate, as he claimed in March. Also, Trump had been booed in public on multiple occasions before 2015.
MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle, who is part of the anti-poverty foundation's Leadership Council of prominent donors, has publicly said that Trump did not attend the gala in 2015, a star-studded affair that raised $101 million. Ruhle tweeted in March that Trump's story about being booed was "entirely fabricated."
Another person affiliated with the foundation, who spoke to CNN on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Trump had not attended the gala since 2011.
Just to be sure, we spoke in March to seven attendees of the 2015 dinner, including singer Jenna Esposito, former Obama administration deputy social secretary Ebs Burnough, and Dr. Mahek Shah, who said they had no recollection of Trump being there.
