Some of my worst fears — and maybe yours — are actually coming true. America is becoming a nation economically scarred by Covid. It’s like a patient on the operating table, who’s hemorrhaging, bleeding out, pulse beginning to go weak — but the doctors are standing there, bickering over which…band-aid to use.
Let me explain my little metaphor.
The American economy’s suffering the worst shock since the Great Depression. But since America is run by men who’ve apparently never read a book about economic ruin, that shock is now being allowed to spiral into a new depression, which is going to rival or exceed the Great Depression. Yes, really. There’s now clear evidence of the vicious cycle of a serious and lasting depression igniting in America.
