Two kinds of hypertrophy, do you notice a difference?

For those who tried both ways long enough, did you notice a difference on the mirror? Do they really give different physiques?

Ive tried both for short periods, so dont really have a clear answer.

I assume you mean myofibrillar and sarcoplasmic.

Myofibrillar is the hypertrophy you want to care about. Recoverable volume near or at muscular failure should be the goal.

Yes i mean those kinds.

Shouldnt it be the opposite for bodybuilding? sarcoplasmic.

I know its not particularly low volume, but ive been doing 3 sets of 8 reps for a long time, it allows for decent weights but on the long run i start to feel pain here and there...

So my point is... if i lowered weights and went for higher volume (more sets and reps) would there really be a difference on my physique or there isnt much difference at all?

You need both to really look like a bodybuilder... hence all the volume driving compounds like insulin hgh etc on top of relatively high volume training near failure

Not to big on focusing on if I’m doing sarcoplasmic and myofibrillar hypertrophy I just make sure to go to failure as long as I’m doing more then 8 reps and not doing unnecessarily high rep ranges
