Well i wasn't big on pushing it back in everyday so i got it fixed.I got one too but I ain't gettin surgery because I like playin with it..
Hay how was the recovery after surgery? I hear different stories on heal time. Just curious what I'm getting into.
I'm definitely gonna listen to your advice because i bet when picking things up I'm also doing it the wrong way. I rely on brute strength instead of the correct way of doing it. I noticed now at the gym while lifting very light weight now i focus on perfect form so i don't hurt my stomach & it's killing my muscles in a good way. I guess I'm not too old to learn new tricks.Sorry just saw this I had my notifiers set wrong for a bit.
Be sure and hold it in by hand WHEN taking a shit.
Mine healed pretty good. I did a heavy dial scrub all over with a light betadine was right before I went in. Doc actually said he's never seen anyone heal as fast. Hardly had a scar in 10-14 days..
Also you MIGHT notice that when you squat to pick things up, YOU MIGHT FIND what caused it. After my surgery, i picked something a bit heavy up about 3 weeks down the road and what I noted struck me. I was actually applying abdominal outward pressure as i made the lift and in all directions.. As if to be takin a shit..!! I never thought about it before and one can easily reverse or neutralize this muscular energy disbursement. I believe its a way of holding the spin straight when straining the lower torso. By exerting pressure from within to OUT. I LEARNED something that day. Cause there's two ways to do it. And, although i have good leg strength i was never a squat man... I DO BELIEVE that it is this misguided muscular activity that have caused me lower back spasms from sqautting in the past...!

Alright guys a little update, since I'm entering my 4th week post op. I'm noticing alot of pulling & what feels like stretching around the area that was fixed. I'm guessing it's because the mesh is attaching to inside of me & when i move it pulls. Nothing painful just a little annoying. Also still not able to engage the stomach muscles while lifting like pulldowns, learned that the hard way lol was pretty sore for about 3 days. Also for anyone getting this or going through it, don't overeat because it creates a lot of discomfort esp when sitting(like driving)
Already talked to the doc & they said it's fine. I just pulled the staple a little. It's actually fine now. I gotta keep a little active because I'm goin back to work in less than 2 weeks & it's an active job. I gotta be careful but i can't completely shut down because when i go back it'll be an even bigger shock to the system.Sounds like you may have made too active a recovery to me. I felt nothing at any time. but I was completely gimp for like 120 days... There is one exception to that. I did feel like maybe something popped on about day 7 taking a crap. But it was way down low so I don't know what that was...
YOU NEED to go tell the doc about this and see what he can say with his experience. Meaning the general surgeon or whoever did the work...
Mine started small, probably the size of a pencil eraser inside my belly button. For a year & a half it stayed the same then over the course of 2-3 months it got bigger than a quarter & popped out about an inch. I would have to push it back in multiple times a day if i accidentally bumped it off something it hurt. Finally i was sitting at an event & didn't notice my belt was digging in & pushing it out. When i got up to leave it was out farther than ever & was very sensitive. So it was time to take care of it, thankfully i did because when they went in to repair it they found 2 more rite above it ready to pop through.why did you have surgery? I have the same thing, just noticed it but doc said its too small to even mess with.. Cant see it, can only feel it and im pretty lean

I gotta admit i too slack on abs. I've always burned fat pretty well (until about 35 yrs old) so it was never a focal point for me. I've always had a pretty physical job & pushed hard at work. I think benching heavy with my cousin & goin up in weight too fast was the final straw. I was feeling all tren strong haha showed me huh. The pushing it back in tingle/hurt feeling wasn't something i was gonna just deal with.Yea I suspect 99% of "umbilical" and Proximate located hernias are CONGENITAL. I think I even heard the doc say it. I doubt they mention that term that much for fear folks will mis-interpret and think the doc is saying something negative about their genetic construct. I would have assumed mine was naval related as so close and right above but just called it related to that muscle right above.
FWIW - I noticed mine back in my twenties when I was really thin. I just thought it was first indications of LARGE FAT CELL CONGLOMERATION.. Meaning not tumor-like, but the first real swelling of any fat tissue cells, and since the belly is the FIRST PLACE we get fat. Took 20 more years and plenty of hard shitz (or something) to pop it out. REALLY AND TRULY, I am CERTAIN mine failed simply due to lack of training. 15 years of it to be sure and I NEVER liked wasting time working ABs once i was beyond college age... My general propensity to like to be physical and tackle big tasks was probably the only thing to keep it in that long.
Mine was simple, I was traveling on business, I think I even had the shitz cause I was fighting with wife or something nerving me. And I recall standing outside the party room one evening for another night of debauchery, and reaching down to stroke my coveted big ass gut telling it what a great pig out we were getting ready for and I was like WTF!?!?!? It was out pretty good and enough to hurt a tad pushing it back in... NO I was not having any more of that... Got it fixed the next week. WHAT WAS FUKING WEIRD is I was talking with another fellow on my hotel floor earlier that after noon who told me he just finally had a hearnia meshed that he got when fell onto a first story roof and a plumping vent had penetrated his stomach and how he had suffered with resulting hernias for years..NOW THAT is FUKED UP..!!

Yea my doc said they placed staples to hold the mesh in place & they could take up to a yr to dissolve completely. That's the part that really sucks because until their gone i have a chance of pulling on them. I wish he used sutures instead. This one has been pondering around my mind. You said STAPLE... I dont recall mine mentionnig that shit. Aint supposed to be no STAPLES internal...
Check yo Self... Check with the doc. Let me know...![]()
