You think people feel that a democracy is ‘more free’ when 51% of the population outvotes and controls the 49% on everything, for years maybe, because they are the ‘majority’? Do you think half of that population feels like they could ever have a say in their government at all?

What are you suggesting is more free than a republic?

And…republics don’t work very well? I’d have to know what your idea of ‘very well’ means but unless all it means to you is ‘longest lasting’ form of government, then I would argue that the republic is the best system of government and works well in every modern country using it. Democracy on the other hand, as well as all forms of socialism, has never worked well, generally speaking.

The problem with our republic and most republics, is we start running them like a socialist state instead of running them like a republic, and then we bog ourselves down with big government…this agency and that agency to regulate this and that, apart from congress, and all these departments and time they waste costs a magnificent amount of money. And we have a social program for absolutely everything and that costs a magnificent amount of money. And then the populace doesn’t know anything about history and begins to become socialist, about half of the population… and they have no idea what that would mean for them and if not for them than their grandchildren… and these people make it impossible for unity and try to tare down the fabric of the scientific realities of our universe and try and block in congress every good thing that makes a republic successful and strong…. Well that’s the only problem with republics that I see

...can anyone think of a single moment in the history of the USA when unity has been an actual thing? Don't tell me the socialists have been ruining all of the fun for the past 250 years. So has this republic you're picturing ever truly existed?
