Useful ways to find affordable Protein Powder?

Hi, my name is Butters. Until recently I had a particular brand of Protein that I really enjoyed for a great price(I ate it w/ almost every meal!)

It was Muscle Pharm Combat Powder. I didn't try all the brands or even flavors, but it was quite cheap & I bought it from a wholesaler. Now it's no longer available & the other option is Optimum Nutrition Protein. I paid 40% more for the same amount. They are a good brand, however, I don't like the texture & price.

Do you know other means acquiring protein powder cheaply?? Do any of you get quality protein at great prices? I also don't like plant based, but any kind of Whey, or Whey/Casien/Egg Blend is great. I looked around online, & the nothing(nothing that isn't delayed or out of stock) can touch the price I was getting.

TLDR, is the thread title. If you believe your getting a great deal let others know & we can save them alot of money too!

Thanks,
Butters!

I bought 15lbs of iso whey on ebay. It's like $110 shipped or something. Prior to that i purchased a bunch of protein powder from supplementhunt.com but they're out. I try to stick with Iso whey. Avoiding protein concentrate, etc

Be weary of some manufacturers lying about protein content and adding additional items to raise the nitrogen content and thus lie

Only 1 ingredient and it's supposedly lab tested.

Thanks Turtle, this is one of the best deals so far.

Do you just eat it without flavoring*(not adding foods like peanut butter or banana's into it) but flavor? It's because their flavored versions(Chocolate etc) appear to have an extra 65 calories per scoop. How do you make this "taste" like Chocolate Protein or Vanilla Protein, w/o adding lots of sugars?

That goes for anyone who knows how to do that BTW.

Also Supplement Hunt has good deals, but your right about them being sold out.

MusclePharm was caught, or at least accused of amino spiking. You can google that term for more info.

i prefer MyProtein. Pretty damn good prices when you can find a 45% or higher discount code.
I also discovered MYProtein, there are a lot of flavors and there are really very tasty ones. And given the discounts and the total price, it's very cool.

Where are you from BUTTERS?

That stuff is on sale at Costco Canada in addition to whey protein for the next 2 weeks. Not sure if there is a similar sale in the US?

My protein all day 10lbs for 63$ one of the higher quality proteins also.... beware of cheaper protein amino spiking and also using much lower quality protein which is less bioavalaible. Labdoor has a bunch of tested proteins. You would be surprised one some of the gnc and vitamins shoppe brands came back at a couple of years ago when labdoor just started.

How much protein do you want to stock?

Google DavisCo Foods. They are a whey manufacturer in the USA. They sell isolate and concentrate wheys in 50lbs bags. Minimum order is 1 bag when your buying wholesale. Since they are a manufacturer their price is probably the best you will get.

If 50lbs is more than you want at once then consider splitting the order with a buddy or two.

However there is no flavorings added, nor anything else. But if you use it in smoothies or whatever its fine. Infact i have drank their isolate unflavored and its fine, just tastes like really diluted skim milk. You can always add your own flavorings too.

Their isolate is really light and fluffy and doesnt clump. Best protein i ever used.

Little more info about them below, seems they now sell the isolate in 33lbs bags. It was 50lbs bags back when i last ordered many years ago.

Davisco Foods is a leader in whey protein technology, offering superior quality ingredients and top-of-the-line customer service. Just spend time searching. I eventually found X-Tone whey protein, which is 80.2g protein per 100g, so pretty good. It's about £25 online for 1kg, but they sell it at home bargains here in the UK for £10.99, and I've found it to be the cheapest protein powder per gram of protein.

Not a great taste, which is unfortunate, but it does the job.

Are you sure its real. Some said they got protein cheap and amazing. I founf it on laboor. The 20 grams protein per scoop was actually only 5.

Well there's no way for me to find that out, as my protein that I get isn't listed on labdoor, although even the worst protein listed on there with an F ranking had 19.6g protein instead of 25g as claimed.

I just use Body Fortress from Wally world! 2 lbs for like $16
Sam's club used to sell 5lb bags for $20 but I don't know anyone.

I don't know, the taste of protein is important to me. Because if I don't like it, then the digestibility will be worse. But again, the consistency of cheap ones is worse.

The difference is huge and I would not eat it. Better more expensive but better quality and the protein that has good reviews and better research on the composition. At least we know what we're eating.

Man the good of days before their prices doubled though...I miss getting 11 lbs of incredibly good whey for like $55.

I will likely just switch to whey instead of whey iso. It is much cheaper and is the same to me for all intents and purposes.

Alot, if it tastes decent.

I don't know how to flavor, unflavored whey to make it palatable if you have it in virtually every meal.

I add other foods to the whey depending on depending on goals. I like some base flavor though. It helps when you eat the same meal over thousands of times.

Thankyou for the link

Those deals were unbeatable. With the current prices and a 55% off code the 11 pound bag of whey comes out to about .50¢ a serving with taxes figured in. Not what it used to be, but still a good deal.
