Can a varicocele prevent HCG from stimulating testes properly?
I've been trying to figure out why 'HCG stopped working' and the doc just so happened to discover varicocele on both testes.
Also came off AAS and did clomid monotherapy for months with no success.
It stopped keeping my balls plump. What does hcg stopped working mean?
Very low at the momentAre your loads normal or decreased?
He referred me to a urologist so we will see.Great question. What did your doctor give you as the answer?
I would guess no as it is just excessive veins.
Keyword is "guess" remember.
They appeared a few years ago. I tried coming off AAS and no increase in size after months of clomid therapy. LH and FSH were fine.Vericose veins aren't really something that just "pop up" one day. They are a chronic condition. I know this as the women in my family suffer from this across generations and required surgery. Bad for them, fucking amazing for me (vascularity!)
It is likely that they have been there from the start and your doc just "noticed" them now. Which would imply that they have not "just now" started affecting your hcg.
Again, these are just guesses and speculation. Great question for your doc. Please let us know what he says!
It stopped keeping my balls plump.
Although size can be an indication of fertility DURING fertility treatments.... where as the bigger the testicals got during treatment the more sperm they produced...
Actual size, and "plumpness" is a hard indicator.
A lot of things come into play, like the length of time on testosterone--- and your doses of HCG--- as to wether you have developed hcg desensitization.
If doing it for fertility the varicocele will prolly have to go-- heard it's a walk in walk out procedure
Varicocele CAN cause atrophy and loss of leydig cells as well as low sperm counts and low motility.
You'll prolly start with finger exam, followed by a ultrasound....
And a S/A to know where u stand.
Either way continue with the doctors they'll hook ya up better then us internet dudes
No it shouldn't studies were done on young hypo-gonadal men that were on Clomid and they saw that Varicocele didn't make any difference on post TRT levels. The same goes for HCG as theyre both stimulating LH but that HCG is just synthetic LH.
Most urologist will not--- you'll prolly have to go to fertility doctor
My urologist would not even prescribe clomid...
More reason to search for endo for trt
Just my experience
GL
Hey mate,
The clinic I'm seeing specialises in men's health, male fertility, andrology etc.
The doc I am seeing has a few articles published on how safe clomid is for hypogonadal men so my guess is clomid is his drug of choice.
My issue with clomid is 50mg ED only brought my test up to mid 500s and I couldn't function. Free test was very low, as was estrogen.
Awesome, especially if ur in good hands...
I didn't see a endo until fertility clinic..
My urologist only knew to prescribe T shots...
Sometimes I shouldn't rush to discredit a doc because my experience was unsatisfactory..
Think it's less endo vs urologist.. and more just finding a good doc... finally with a good one and it turned out to be endo
