Wanna know WHY Texas is so badass?

When someone kills mass people with a truck the left wants you to blame the driver. When somone uses a bomb the left wants you to blame the person who made the bomb. When someone mass murders with a gun the left blames the gun. This is their logic and I can show many examples to back my comment. These incidents of mass shootings did not occur 30 years ago to this degree when we had the same game laws or less strict ones. Something has changed in society and it certainly isn't guns. The left doesn't want to stop at banning certain firearms or attatchments. Their goal is complete public disarmament and any suggestion otherwise is bullshit.

Its not silly at all. A slight change of mentality and that 6,000 lb 4x4 becomes possibly the deadliest weapon available. And certainly easiest to obtain.
I could volunteer at a food kitchen and spike the food bins with anthrax. Perhaps we should ban public eateries?

I could buy a louisville slugger and get me a driver and play hit and runs with peoples melons just for fun. Perhaps we should ban bats? Hell! Ban baseball!
I could buy a paintball gun and load it with musket balls and shoot people dead easy as pie. Perhaps we should ban paintball guns? Hell, ban any tiny steel ball while your at it!
I could buy a .17 bb gun and hook a big air tank to it and shoot 3000 ft/second. Wont even hear it go off. Perhaps we should ban bb guns?
I could buy 20 gal of gas at the valero and decide it would be funnier if i just poured it on somebody and lit a match. Perhaps we should ban fuel?
I could ask to spot you on bench and decide im just going to punch you in the windpipe rendering you physically impossible to breathe and then beat his head in with a 45 lb plate. Perhaps we should ban spotters? Barbells? Plates?...Gyms?

What all those things are not are effective means of resisting strong authoritarian governments. The globalists (left and right) want the US population as defenseless as European and Canadian subjects have become. They want the guns because they are afraid of them. Yes...that doomsday scenario is chilling. And to anyone who hasnt been in the military who thinks their village militia and their vault of 50 guns in their home is gonna repel a batallion of marines directed by our govt to kill its citizens is living in la la land. At 18 yrs old and green as hell we crushed seasoned assholes who have been fighting their whole lives. Im talking men who grew up in some of the most inhospitable areas on earth. Poor as dirt. Rugged ppl. They were not ever a test for us.

This isnt the American Revolution any more

There are countless gun control laws already in place. Know what the problem is? Criminals don't give a flying fuck about laws.

We should bring back public executions. When we catch these killers, rapists, pedophiles, etc., make their executions part of the nightly news and all kinds of violent crimes will go down.

These criminals will get three hots and a cot for the rest of their lives and probably live better in the pen than they were on the outside. Take all that shit away. Treat them like the criminals they are.

True, but then not one ME country has remained subdued in over 20 years of US occupation. They all remain unsafe for the elites unless they hide behind concrete walls. A subdued population is much easier to deal with, and much less likely to interfere with the production and consumerism keeping the elite in their high towers.
 
The only way to stop these acts is to have more people carrying guns. If everyone is strapped then people will think twice before acting like idiots. I say more guns!!!

And if we start honoring real life heroes instead of questioning their actions then more ppl will take a stand and do the right thing, rather than video it all like a bunch of bitches while ppl die!!! Even of theu shot the fucker to death after the chase it should be ok. You can't count on cops to get there in time, u gotta act!!!

I think you're reading into my post more than I intended. I have not commented on your ability or right to own a gun. I'm only pointing out your point about the trucks doesn't hold weight bc It's appealing to an extreme.
 
Public eateries are there to feed ppl.

Your mailbox is there to store your mail.

Your steak knife is there to cut your steak.

Your boots are there to protect your feet.

Baseball is a game.

Paintball guns as made are non-lethal.

Fuel heats your house, runs your engine, etc.

Spotters are there to save you from failing a lift.

All these things can be used to kill someone true but their intended purpose is something else. Please explain to me what a gun's purpose is, and don't tell its for fishing.

You realize all your examples are of extreme, far fetched scenarios so if that's your only argument then your argument fails since appeals to extremes are not valid arguments.
The right to bear arms is and has always been for overthrowing a tyrannical government. AR15s are not something that was unexpected. The second amendment was originally enforced to allow ordinary citizens to own ships with decks of cannons. Something far more grave than a semi-automatic .223

Most other mass killing scenarios take planning, bombings, etc. Some dipshit can find an ar anywhere and in hours wipe out a huge number of people.
Silencers are also idiotic.. I used to have a few and they were fun. We would target practice in the basement. Good shit.. fun when we were kids. No practical civilian use for them beyond human target practice. We just had a local shooting here where some 8th grader took his dad's AR to school and killed some kids and a teacher.
The world has drastically changed since the constitution was written. We may need to revise as needed. African American men didn't get the right to vote until the 15th Amendment was ratified in 1870.
Lastly, why everyone cares so much about being able to own 5 assault rifles is beyond me. Waste of money at best.

I'm good with pistols, shotguns and rifles but I'm weary of letting government have control of my means of defense. Once liberals sink their claws in they only go deeper.

And they can go very deep. Like recently in Denmark a teenage girl was prosecuted for using pepper spray to fend off a would be rapist. Even in the 90's when I lived in Germany I remember reading a story of a farmer who used his legally owned shotgun to scare off an intruder breaking into his family home. Despite large protests, the farmer ended up going to prison for years while the intruder did not. This is the model of law and order many on the left and the right would prefer the US adopted.

And target practice - within inanimate targets - without the need of hearing protection.

And, though you may consider this "human target practice", there's also home defense. Try firing any gun in a hallway without hearing protection. You will go deaf temporarily... something that could get you killed in that particular situation.

The speed limit is 80mph is some parts of texas. Everywhere else in the nation its slower. So to go along with your mentality ALL cars sold to consumers should be governed at the state speed limit. And any tampering should be a federal crime. There is no practicality to a 500+ hp machine on public roads. Good luck enjoying your challenger homie.

But lets be honest. Plenty of felons own guns that they arent supposed to. Their physically banned from holding one. Alot of good thats done...

At some point you just have to chalk this up to living in a free society with laws that favor guns. Sad but true

There is only one place in the Constitution where it says "the government shall make no law..." And that is in regards to the first amendment. The second amendment's language is different.

Nonetheless, no constitutional amendment is limitless as you seem to think it to be. Even the first amendment, the one the constitution specifically states no laws shall be made against, has limits. You can't yell fire in a crowded theater for example. Hell, there's even an entire government office dedicated to going after libel and defamation cases which indeed limits one's speech. To have a speech at a rally, you must apply for a permit and be granted one and your time and location is limited.

So your argument that the right shall not be infringed upon, period, holds no weight since nothing is without limits.

Your rights are being infringed upon probably every single day in one way or another Trukk. I think you just care about the guns more than most of the other ways your rights are being infringed upon.

There is no reason I can come up with to take away your right to own a firearm. You're a war vet, a good family man, and just an all around good dude. That doesn't mean I don't think certain limits and/or regulations can't be adopted for the better.

Are background checks better than nothing? I would not want a criminal being able to walk around and buy any gun of his choice at any gun store. At the same time, I'm not foolish enough to believe it's a 100% effective strategy to removing guns from the hands of a criminal. It's just one layer of protection. You made an analogy to AAS earlier. It's illegal but we still get it at the click of a button. Some of the criminals, just like some potential AAS users, will decide the risk isn't worth the reward. Obviously not everyone will be deterred but to say no one will be deterred is just as ridiculous.

I'm sure there are other alternatives to helpin make this a safer country with less gun violence but both sides will have to drop the rhetoric and be willing to compromise on certain issues. Idk if that's possible considering ppl are so entrenched in their personal beliefs but that's another topic.

Yes at some point one does have to concede that there's no way to 100% stop gun violence, or violence of any kind really, but to use that as an excuse to not even try is basically the ultimate excuse. I'm not sayin you're guilty of that, just speaking generally.
