Let's say banning assault rifles decrease the amount of deaths from firearms by just 5%. That's still worth it. That 5% could be someone you love. Someone i love. And you dont want to get rid of assult rigles because ??? Merica! Bald eagle!! Freedom!!! Everyone preaches on how everyone should be free to do whatever they want but I'm sorry the reality is people are fucked up and evil. So there needs to be some sort of restriction. I'm pro 2nd amendment as well. Big hunter. Serving in the Army, i mean shit in the military you handle weapons all the time but there's an extreme amount of regulation and tracking of them.....but I'm also pro facts. So if it was proven to me, that banning assault rifles would NOT decrease killing/mass murders, then I'd agree. But as of right now, logic is telling me, gun control needs to increase and assault rifles need to be taken away.
But like a poster above me said. We seriously need to unite guys. Something has to be done. America wasnt just about coming to make a new country to get away from a controlling government. It was also about be accepting of diffrent people. Diffrent views. Very few of you know what it's like to be serving and overseas and hearing of these murders and conflicts in America. It's literally heart breaking.
I just see way to much extremism on both sides. The amount of extremist left and right has gotten so abundant its scary. No one wants to meet halfway! Everyone thinks it's black and white (no pun intended ) but in the real world its just grey.
