What are y'all benching???????

Let me say I would rather this be a question of how much you squat, clean or snatch. Now with that out of the way, I've benched 525 in competition and 550 in the gym.

on monday i did 315x8 for 2 sets, 335x4 for 2 sets and 355x2 for my last...i ve been done w/ my 12 week cycle for 2 weeks and am still going up on all my lifts :D bw fluctuates between 226-232#'s. btw 20 y/o

ps are yall's numbers raw or with shirts? ive never tried a bench shirt, but am curious as to how much they actually help.

I would rather talk about snatch too. I try to get as much snatch as I can.

lol me to. as for the shirt question, most i assume are raw. some of the high ones probably w/shirt and maybe a lil spaghetti sauce

what caused mine to be weaker was a shoulder injury, most likely damage t my rotator cuff .... i worked around it for 8 months until i could hit heavier weights especially in incline but it still has never been the same ...

as a youth i had a reoccuring neck injury when i played football...it wouldnt fuickin go away.(stretching of the brachial plexus or nerve roots) which caused me to loose feeling of the right side of my upper body. It caused me to lose motor units and nerve function to my trap and shoulder...which lead to atrophy in my right side(traps and shoulders,)

now when i bench...when i dig my traps into the bench. ...and because my right trap is smaller than the left...i lean off to the right when i bench... causing the weight to be unequally distributed on my chest.

How are you with measurements b/n each side. Is your right side larger also? I would think there is some impingement going on. How long have you been lifting and has it been going on since u started? Also, you broke any bones or had any trauma to that side including collarbone and shoulder trauma.

any suggestions getting the left side up.

i dont have a way to get a good measuement, but using my hand i can say my left bi and tri are def smaller than the right, and lying flat on the floor ny right pec is harder than the left in a relaxed state.

ive been lifting off and on for 15 years. no injuries except old age. the only thing that i can think of is that i was a pitcher in baseball for 14 years (3 pee wee, 3 little league, 2 pony, 4 high school, and 2 minor league), and spent a lot of time working my right side.

That could definately be a contributing factor. At least in the older years where you were working much harder.
