Brutal!!!Stepmills are great. I HIGHLY recommend the Jacob's Ladder machine with the rungs that you climb if you can fit it in your home gym. My gym has one and it's fucking brutal. They're fantastic conditioning tools because they use the same muscles that mountain climbing uses.
They're pretty pricey, though.

The fuck???!!!I saw someone using the Jacob Ladder at the gym and they accidentally got both arms and legs stuck inside which chopped them all off. Now they have no arms or legs! So be careful when using it.
