Share what you eat during bulking and cutting

How many calories, fat, carbs, protein, and your stats.

Would be a great info.

Would like to change up my diet as well. Maybe add or subtract a few items.

That food thread is both the best thread in the world and the worst depending on when you happen to catch it. Smoked ribs huge thumbs up, all ypu can eat Buffet Chinese food day steer away haha

Yep---you dont want to stare too long at some of these guys dinner , especially if your dieting . But if your bulking I suggest eating while Meso gazing at a big plate of ribs or a huge steak grilling on the BBQ....;)
 
My favorite regardless of cut or bulk is a local meat market has their own marinated chicken fajitas. It's the thigh meat that generally has fat on it.

While on a bulk, 2 meals of the day will be - I will cut some of the fat off and eat 10-12oz (uncooked) weight of chicken with 2cups white rice and a glass of whole milk. Estimating 6g of protein per ounce of chicken results in 140 - 160g of protein from chicken and milk and 150g of carbs for those two meals.

While cutting, 2 meals of the day will be - I will be meticulous about cutting all the fat off and drop the weight to 8-10oz and only a cup of rice and change the milk out for good old fashion water. Estimating 6g of protein per ounce of chicken results in 100 - 120g of protein from chicken 75g of carbs for those two meals.

The chicken is cheap, I generally go in and buy 10lbs of it and it's never more than $25. That's a pound of chicken for 10 days for only $2.50 a day at most. And rice. Well fuck man that's like $6 for the GOOD uncle bens rice at 5lbs.

coming from someone who is a hard gainer - add whole milk into your diet. (2) 16oz glasses of whole milk in your day is 600 calories and its cheap.

also if you're eating 5 oz of chicken for a meal, this needs to go up to at least 8oz. its lean so get all that protane!

I can't drink milk.

So add more chicken? Is it safe to raise my protein intake more than what it is now?

Should I take out chicken and add red meat? Would that help with gains?

Is it safe? Yes it is. I generally try to hit 1.5g of protein per pound of body weight while on a cycle.

Adding red meat won't hurt. Having too much red meat can be bad depending on your specific health and family health. I have a history of high cholesterol so I tend to only have red meat 2-3 times a week. If I had it my way, I'd be having it 2-3 times A DAY!

@Wood4days you should look into reverse dieting. I used to do traditional bulk and cuts but they seem so ineffective in comparison. Reverse dieting takes some serious patience but once your macros are up there you'll be loving life. I maintain pretty damn lean on just under 4500 cals a day and only drop down to about 3000 towards the end of any cut. I reverse diet my way back up and gain very little fat as opposed to just jumping back onto a bulk afterwards. My goal after my next cut is to reverse diet my way to 5500 cals a day which will take months but ill be pretty damn big by the end of it with minimal bodyfat gained.

I googled it but can you explain it some more or give me a better link than I'm pulling from Google? My cuts are extreme and while they work your method sounds much better :D

I've been macro dieting this cycle ma seeing great results. IMO it's not a matter of "too clean" or "too dirty" but are you hitting your macro goals for the day. I personally choose to get most of my macros from cleaner sources, (fruits, whole grains, brown rice, etc...)
Personally I'd up your protein and carbs and lower the fats.

I've been gaining slow and steady while looking leaner.
But I will say it took a month or so to zero my macros in. I started at 2800 and kept adjusting till I saw the results I wanted

Well I'm eating over my maintenance. Someone told me to lower carbs and increase fat.

Dieting is so confusing. Haha I think I'll increase protein and drop carbs down a little.
