Sorry for the bump, but I'd just like to point out that that guy seemed to have a pretty deep history of drugs and other illegal things well before this bust. And on top of that, had a drug sent to him (ketamine) that is looked at much worse than gear. And had multiple seizures from the same address. Not to mention the stuff in his house, which it sounds like is what they were really after in the first place. Theoretically, anything can happen to anyone, so always take the necessary precautions, but it sounds like that guy had it coming sooner or later. For small amounts of gear that are clearly for personal use, the most you're LIKELY to get (from what I understand) is a seizure notice. I know from personal experience that LE is ALWAYS short-staffed, no matter where they are. They are not going to waste resources, and more importantly, time, to go after someone with small amounts of gear unless A: there's probable cause that he's running a bigger operation or B: it's a very small town where nothing's ever happening anyway. It sounds like he met BOTH of those conditions so he was a relatively high priority target, compared to most people with personal use amounts
