What is the longest you've kept an open bottle of bac water? I used a bottle that I took a couple mL from about 8 months ago without thinking.

I filtered it and transferred it to another sterile vial like a always do. Would you guys pin it or toss it? I have used oil based vials for a LONG time but not sure if this is the right thing to do.

Personally, I’ve used it for a little longer than a month without issue. However, I’m aware the official Hospira and USP 797 guidelines state the preservative is only guaranteed to stop bacterial growth for 28 days once punctured, so I try not to push it.

I have used reconstituted pregnyl for 20 weeks before so maybe I am overthinking this and it isnt a big deal. The solution is crystal clear.
