Im currently on fierce 5 Beginner routine and its going smoothly , but I was wondering what was this Forum take on which Beginner program is the best or favorite one
To my knowledge on a 1 year plan it goes like this
SS Strength
Fierce 5 Balance
allpro Size
not familiar with others

When I was natural, I did Wendler 5/3/1. I got my bench up to 450lbs in 2 years using it.That was 9-10yrs ago.

Greyskull Linear Progression is a really good starter program.

I'd start with something linear until you stall out, then think about switching to a different type of progression. You'll make the fastest progress that way.

Greyskull LP is by far the best with candito second. But greyskull is a program of principles and is essentially a beginner powerbuilding program in the realm of DC training. You bust your ass on the money set, make small progressive jumps, you demolish the log book, you eat a shit load of protein and when you finally do stall, you simply reset and smash your rep records back up.

After two stalls you rotate the lift out for a variant. After one or two variants you go back to the original big 4 but you rotate in the variants also. Eventually after 2 years or so of hard lifting you can decide which way you wanna go. For bodybuilding, you move to the greyskull powerbuilding program. Eventually after a few years this leads you to DC training.

After a few years of DC training you should have all the size you want and can work on weak points. Looking at 3-5 years using the greyskull principles brining you from novice thru intermediate stage to advanced, size and strength wise.

At that point dc or fortitude or Meadows training are perfect for you. But you have already built the base.

5/3/1 is great but more of a late intermediate program imo. Same with jacked and tan, Meadows, and many of the others.
