I'm going to get hate over this, but I've spent a lot of time in TX doing work and Whataburger.. Meh... I don't get the hype. I also don't get In n Out, White Castle and a couple other "must try" chain burger places. Mediocre at best
Mcdonalds is mediocre
Burger king is a step below mediocre
Whataburger is way above average with on par prices
Five guys is great but ridiculous prices

I can't eat at 5 guys with out dropping $20+ on my meal. For burgers and fries it's just ridiculous
How about ruby's diner ? Any of you guys ever eat there? In my opinion they have the best burger I've ever ate. And their chocolate milkshake !!!! Pure bliss.
5-Guys is really good , but spendy ...but nowdays everything is .
Except POS Happy Meals and the 1$ menu (food for the poor)
We are getting a 5 guys and In an Out, about 1000' from each other!!!!
5 Guys are popping up all over the Northeast, and several have opened up in CT in the past year! For the price (they are a bit steep) the burgers are darn good and the fries come in a bag
I've never ate there, but just Google'd them and that sriracha burger looks awesome! Have you ever tried it?

The big thing about 5 guys is they have a daily reminder where this batch of potatoes came from and usually it's very localized trade they conduct.
The beef is 100°/▪ no filler and their nutrition menu reflects that. Also they charge a premium for all that good stuff.
If you compare 5guys to any other fast food chain You'll realize how much "other" junk is in their meat. A double quarter pounder is SUPPOSED to yield 56 g protein if it's real. Minus cheese and possibly protein in the bun. Just look at the nutrition scale of your favorite joint. 5guys is the only one to be even close to the nutritional content of actual real beef

Been out in BFE....i.e. Prince of Whales. Was up and working for 26 hours straight, an most of that time was without food, so on the Ferry ride back I needed some calories and went the worst route possible, but my favorite meal, chicken fried steak with hashbrowns, sausage links, 2 eggs over easy, toast, and 3 glasses of water...
Later that day before crashing I made a "wrap" of sorts with just a shmear of light cream cheese, roast turkey breast, and my boys homemade Wholly Mother-O-Chipotle bbq sauce.

Sounds like someone is processing ? Thats long , cold hard work . I know . Worked for Unisea and Pacific Seafoods for years as well as Peter Pan and Seahawk Seafoods . Nothing better than a hot meal/shower/bed after those shifts ...

Nope. I'm a regional RF TECHNICIAN. i repair and maintain 78 cell sites from Ketchikan to Haines. . Hit those, skagway, petersburg, Wrangell, sitka, juneau, angoon, hoonah, gustavus, POW, Metlakatla, and 13 remote helo access only sites.
I gotcha . Still long hard cold work . Anykind of work is in Alaska !! Goodluck

In Thorne Bay they were a nuisance. But at the ferry terminal in Hollis they were like a plague... had the heater on and my window cracked while waiting a couple hours for the terminal to open, and thousands of those no-see-em's came out of nowhere and flooded through the open window... it was like that episode of x files with the dude trapped in his truck and he gets swarmed by those flies or whatever coming in from the vents and electrical panels.... I jumped out and ran around like I was having a seizure while trying to smack those little fuckers. Lol
And I was born with the blood they like , no matter who is around me , ALL the skeeters head for me and my protein rich blood .
I hate the lil bitches to death !
