What's a good brand radar dectector?

The V1 has been king for years and years. They smoke all the others in every test done by any of the magazines. Kenseth (nice avatar), if the 1.7s are going for $250, then Id probably buy that. I would guess that if you plug one of those serial #s into the website it will say that some upgrades are available but not necessary at this point. Damn...if they are only $250, then I might just have to get one myself! Ive been wanting the V1 for over a year now.

bro check out the K40. the 2003 Speed Measurement Labs test placed them #1 when compared to the Bel, the Escort, and I think the Valentine.

newer company, the RD850 is often compared to Valentine1. They have a lifetime guarantee: No tickets or they pay.

I have a pretty bad speeding habit and this radar has saved me many times over the past year. Best $400 I've spent, and i think it's less expensive now. just an option, good luck.

If you don't go Valentine One, the Bel 985 is a very good second best in my opinion.

Well, I did not get one for my B-day or Christmas so I just bought the Valentine 1 for myself. From everything I have read it is the best you can buy.

do the radar jammers actually work???

Everything I've read on the jammers says they dont work. In order for them to actually be strong enough to jam anything they would have to be licensed as transmitters by teh FCC, and they arent.. Secodly the Valentine one is an excellent piece of equipment, it has saved me from many a ticket in the past. The problem I find now is that in recent years many PD's are using Laser for which there simply is not defense against.
