What's best for Traps?

I am doing shrugs, for them..

Is there something else, that I
can use, to target the traps?

My shoulders get too big, so I
am trying to take most stress off
shoulders and onto my traps.

Upright rows I already do, for shoulders..
just started them, anyway

then... how about some shrugs. some dumbell shrugs. before deadlifts. how about a farmers walk.

These lighter full range
shrugs seem to be hitting them
nicely .. barbell, so I can set it
on the pins..
Don't want to have to bend down to the
floor, to get the dumbbells ..
I might hurt my back :)

Dumbell Shrugs
Shrugs (smith machine or bar)

I also use the smith machine and with my hands no more then 6" apart, pull straight up to your chin, my traps are purdy nice these days :drooling:

I was calling those upright rows...
Those I do for shoulders..

Bar shrugs work pretty good.

My calves, biceps, triceps,
chest, traps and forearms
are all pumped and sore already ..
I am going to do some more

Shrugs are nice. I do them alternating. Makes me seem like I am more knowledgeable, like I am on to something. Going to see if anybody starts doing them like that, it's really stupid but would be funny.

I like the upright row with a close grip. However it's considered harmful for the joints.
Never had problems with it though.

Yea, if someone asks you why you do
that, you can say something like:
It keeps the nervous system guessing
on which muscles will be used next,
because of the fast switch from one, to the other...

It's called NSS.. Neuro Switch Stimulation
or more fancy .. NESS .. Neuromuscular electrical switch stimulation

Yea, the NESS technique .. been around for a long time
but only top BBers knew about it...
The information leaked out, by one of
the ... I don't know... think of it
and get on writing an ebook... We can market it
and make a killing.. gotta go
