What's the deal with me feeling weaker in the gym than before?

I would say 5km 4-5 times a week
Or challenge yourself to do good times in a 2mile , you can also do HIT 100m full speed run then rest then repeat etc

4-5 times a week 45-60 minutes per session if you're good at it then obviously the times decreases
I like to alternate running with elliptical work. Not so tired head.

1mile=1.6km
Personally I aim for times idc about hear rate .
Optimal is 1mile in 7 minutes or less
2 miles under 14 minutes.

I don't do elliptical, I do running , sprinting (HIT) , swimming. I like doing cardio outside where I can breath fresh air and looking at nature.
I guess elliptical should be good if you're aiming at 120++bpm but bpm's are age related.

Now I understand why. All my life I did not like to run, but then I found a comfortable rhythm for myself and then I can run less. After covid and thrombosis, running is difficult for me to do.
