Yeah, America is fucked unless a turnaround happens and quick but I wouldn’t count on it.
People have been getting fatter and fatter for a long time.
I mean look at what happened when Michelle Obama tried to make school lunches healthier. Now, yes, our food chains aren't setup for it so a lot of them looked and tasted disgusting. It was not implemented well, but parents were irate at the very idea that the bulbous, puffy blobs they call their children were overweight/obese. They were pissed that anyone would dare try to make their child eat broccoli...it is an issue that gets handed down from parent to child. The eating habits get passed down through generations and due to how addictive sweets and modern processed foods are, more and more people get stuck in the obesity population every day.
As for the soy boy shit, blame hipsters. Hipster girls love those guys, and those guys love hipster girls. Idk man hipsters are fucking weird. It isn't soy though, it is a combination of the fashion industry, social media/herd mentality, and the fucking endocrine disruptors we are all exposed to from the time we are fetuses.
This. Fucking corn syrup in everything. It is so crazy that you see a recipe for "healthy" pumpkin bread and it is healthy because it uses honey and maple syrup instead of sugar. Well, it is all metabolized the same way. People want to have their cake and eat it too and it just doesnt work. It also cracks me up that these right wing farmers are so against food stamps and social programs when their entire career wouldn't even exist if it weren't for government subsidies the hypocrisy and irony just never ends
Yep, people are fst as shit. It is crazy. Nobody seems to give a fuck about their diet. They eat what I call "literal garbage". The only thing a fuckingnhostess cupcake is good for is throwing in the garbage. I was driving to Lowes at 6.40 AM and I saw 8 fucking cars in line at the Hardees drive thru. Just despicable!!
