Anyway, i ve been in coma, i had some mental damaging lot of years ago so I know how my interface that i call “soul” is totally related to my brain structure... i lost my inhibitions from the head injury (bike accident) while i stayed at the hospital.. don’t have any problem about shitting on myself and being naked in front of nurses or my parents... i was even under some drugs.. so i know...but anyway, i fear that when i ll dead as Frozen, the “experience” of emotions in this universe wont stop... think we As parts of the universe just Couldnt be “nothing”.. so something will happen.. anyway yes, we did defeat nature.. unluckily...

I'm sure the first inventor of the wheel thought something similar. If and when scientists can actually create life from non life, I might think so as well. Until then IMO shaping one's destiny is no more unnatural than shaping a wheel.

You do know that mathematics isn't fundamental. That it is an invented language used to describe the universe, but it isn't the fundamental language.

In other words you can use math until you find something better to fit with describing our universe, but even that will just be another language invented by mankind, or possibly not.

I've taken Calc I,II,III, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra, this was decades ago and it was a subject I really enjoyed. I sucked in English Lit., but was really interested in math and did well.

Ultimately all math is just addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, it's just a lot more complicated, especially when you start in with differential equations that take pages of calculations to solve.

The problem is conventional mathematics might be the problem we're having when it comes to unlocking many of the secrets of the universe.

Like I said before, you can use math to describe the universe, but it's not the universe, it's our invention and its apart of our philosophy as well to explain concepts of our physical reality.

Look at it this way, when you go into deep sleep and enter into your coma state, when you're not even dreaming, it's like you're completely turned off(except for necessary body functions). That's as close to death as possible. Now imagine that forever, that's pretty much death, nothing to be scared of.

I took the same courses and a couple more. I wanted that "minor" in math designation for some stupid reason none of my employers have ever cared about. You missed linear systems where convolution and basis transforms were introduced. Not all domains perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division the same. Very different rules can apply, especially if the transform is not a basis function.

I agree with you the language mathematicians use is less than optimal for many applications. But that's not what you said. You said math is nothing more than a mental construct, and that is simply untrue.

There's one thing for certain, if there was a higher power that created all of this, it has to be someone completely deranged.

First of all in order for me to survive, I must kill something else. Now try to wrap your head around that, just think. I have went through all the work to figure out how to design you, but now I have to destroy you so others can go on living.

Right out of the gate that couldn't be the work of a supreme being.

As for consciousness, that's a rabbit hole, many a wise man will tell you don't even bother.

As for replacing all your atoms every 7 years or so, I don't think it matters, you're adding new cells to your body before the old ones die. Everything has a specialized role to serve, you wouldn't become a new you because the change is so gradual that it would offer plenty of time for you to carry on without noticing at all. The only thing to notice is the decline with age as cells regenerate with more and more defects.
