Does anyone have any studies done or any knowledge on Whole Foods protein powders I recently just picked up Redcon MRE because it was a buy one get one free in a simple way to easily get calories in protein on the go.. honestly I didn’t even look at the label. I have plenty of way isolate and casting to begin with. It was more just an impulsive by on getting a free tub.
As I’m looking through the label on it, I see their protein sources is from beef, isolate, eggs, peas, chicken, salmon, etc, so I was kind of curious on the bio availability of these sources in powdered and couldn’t really find much information. I found one study that was saying that beef protein is mainly collagen and not even really bio available to digest. But that was about all I can find scientifically other than people‘s opinions.

Doubt there have been any good studies done on it as it would be a very niche thing and would depend on the concentration/proportion of the ingredients used Which would change between manufacturers. Which change the results.

As for protein powder i don't see anything beat whey isolate for best amino profile and bioavailability. With egg for those that can't do milk products.
