Why a real chemist advised high-grade ethyl alcohol instead of BA?

Reportedly, a real chemist advised Axio labs to use high grade ethyl alcohol instead of Benzyl Alcohol.

'This chemist introduced his formula where instead of Benzyl Alcohol, high grade ethanol would be used...'
'the first batches of Axio were excellent and contained the high grade ethanol.'

By high-grade ethanol I'm pretty sure they meant Absolute Alcohol
besides being very pure, it contains no water

Steroid formulations are dissolved in oil
Oil and water don't mix
Likely the reason why such a dry alcohol was needed.

A former gym buddy, a paramedic (I don't know if he finally graduated as a doctor) said you won't feel any (pain) difference with injections containing a SMALL percentage of ethyl alcohol, and he has done lots of injections.

Absolute alcohol
Absolute or anhydrous alcohol refers to ethanol with a low water content. There are various grades with maximum water contents ranging from 1% to a few parts per million (ppm) levels. If azeotropic distillation is used to remove water, it will contain trace amounts of the material separation agent (e.g. benzene).[135] Absolute alcohol is not intended for human consumption. Absolute ethanol is used as a solvent for laboratory and industrial applications, where water will react with other chemicals, and as fuel alcohol. Spectroscopic ethanol is an absolute ethanol with a low absorbance in ultraviolet and visible light, fit for use as a solvent in ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy.[136]

Pure ethanol is classed as 200 proof in the U.S., equivalent to 175 degrees proof in the UK system.

Some pharmaceutical formulations use Ethyl alcohol for Testosterone (no ester)

Twenty mg of testosterone propionate was dissolved in 0.2 cc of ethyl alcohol and diluted by 99.8 cc of normal saline...

Some use both ethanol and BA

So Ethanol can be used.
I'm curious on how it's better than BA
and what the recommended % is.

I've heard that ethyl alcohol increases solubility and preserves from bacteria better, with less PIP than BA/BB combination does.

You should try it and get back to us. Generally interested, especially if it increases solubility.

Did you notice the whole veterinary thing in the formula? Ask yourself why in 2017 if ethyl alcohol is so much better than BA, why are pharmaceutical companies using BA still in their products?

1 The FDA requires a long and expensive process to approve formulation changes. Not worth for big pharma.

2 I don't really know if it's actually better.
Absolute alcohol may only be worth it with high concentration gear.

3 Maybe Axio/GenXXL used ethanol instead of sterile filtration?
Nasty but true.
